Part of the special bit of the live show is chatting and reading funny chat bits with other viewers. I don't understand why the mods are doing this or what purpose they're supposed to fulfill by killing chat on non priority channels.
I find this to be pretty annoying too. Reading peoples reactions and chatting during the daily makes it just that much better, and the mods seem to regularly pause or straight up close the chats for no reason other than "we don't feel like watching this chat".
Totally agree with these guys. It seems to be a pretty common occurrence on the internet that as soon as a community gets to a certain size and people are put in an authority position it starts turning into some masssive mod circle-jerk. Please don't let power hungry mods ruin your daily for live viewers. The chat is one of the best aspects of seeing the daily live and there is literally no reason I can think of for closing chats 15 minutes before the daily ends, except to be a massive asshole.
You said part of the reason you decided to do a Q&A was because it takes a lot of time to set up a proper daily. You also said that the lack of time was the same reason last Thursday's daily was canceled.
I would strongly encourage you to take a guilt free, week off every now and then instead of getting into that feeling of habitual procrastination that happens when things start piling on and then keep piling on.

If you can stop hundreds of people from spewing verbal diarrhea all over the chat, then I'm sure the mods would be happy to leave it open.
I totally agree with the people who also suggested that these Casual Sunday episodes should continue. Day9 talking about his life is just as interesting as (if not more interesting than) him talking about SC2.
