Day Nine is truly an invaluable resource for ANYBODY wanting to get better. I watch the Monday and Tuesday dailes as well because you never know what you will pick up.
Yeah gotta agree here. I play at the 'master' level and I still feel like a noob. There is a wealth of knowledge to pick up even if you think you know what you're doing.

Ditto.
I got into Masters and was like "AWESOME!"
Now how do I play ZvP?

The good thing about the Dailies is that they reinforce concepts, that you know but do not really KNOW.
For example in the TLO vs White-Ra Daily, everything he said seemed really obvious, BUT even obvious things need to be said out aloud, to really get stuck in your brain.
For these things the dailies are really good, and to be honest i do not think, that Starcraft 2 is SO complicated, that there is an infinite Pool of knowledge guarded by some bearded Korean 15 year old Gosu. However this does not stop it from beeing hard as something really hard(lacking a good metaphor here). Because all these "simple" concepts need to be put to use in really short amounts of time.
Just my 2 cents and could anyone tell me if Dailies is the correct plural of Daily, thank you

I always thought there is no skill cap in starcraft. Im like mid diamond on eu (~2000) as random - not that im gosu or anything, but making my way to master league - and still every time watching dailies, I learn something new or understand better some moves. Too bad he is not able to teach you have better mechanics, thats would be sweeeeet.
To answer some guy on prev page(s). Is there any other person who know as much of starcraft as Day9? The answer is Artosis aka Starcraft Wikipedia.
I can imagine show with those two. You will get so much analysis, that your head will probably expload, trying to understand everything.
Keep doing what you are doing Sean, much love from Kore... yyy Poland.

"Hard as nails" and "Hard as a rock" are both very common similes. Alternatively, you can use "Hard as hell" which makes no sense whatsoever as a metaphor but does get the point across.

To be serious i have to disagree with you that anybody can get better watching day9 dailys. I like day9 but just because of that i wont blindly assume everything he says is good and right. And sure there are things that u can learn watching his dailys but it starts to happen very rare at some point of your journey to higher league.
i bet day9 would agree with this, he may have good understanding of the game and be able to hand out generally good advice, but i doubt he'll be 100% correct 100% of the time.

Ok, I need some help from a Day9 nolifer (no offense cause I'm one too), in one of the dailies, he did a bunch of imitations from BW, and did this little skit about a mutalisk history book or something of that sort, anyone know what daily it was?
Edit: nevermind, found my answer on page 704, daily #200.

Almost everyone except the very tip-top of progamers can learn from Day9.

If your a logical thinking person and has a good udnerstanding of Sc2, and is in the Master league, chances are that you will be better of spending your time actually gaming than watchins every dailiy. Sure if you have a problem with a matchup you might watch one or 2 dailies about that MU, but often you will do just as well watching replays if your smart. Most people however are of average itnelligence and not able to figure out thing them selves.

Far too much ZvP. Need some more Terran dailys if you don't mind .

he did that in one of the last dailies and such hints help me alot. now i wonder if there is a collection of such tricks somewhere out there? all that tactical analysis is great but this is another layer of the Game that you do not hear alot about (or do not really see well in replays). You should check out the daily called "Day9 live coaches djWHEAT", I think it's exactly what you're looking for.
i watched that one and it was a great start already. maybe there could be a daily like that again in the future... possibly with a more methodically approach to the topic.

I think Day 9 has struck the right balance between top level and entry level analysis. Let's face is, between playing SC2, watching gomtv/streams/other tournies, watching 3 of the Day9 dailies per week with top level analysis, posting on these forums, possibly watching other SC2 shows on youtube, and having a life beyond SC2 that involves work, school, friends, other hobbies, etc. there is not a lot of time left to watch several more Day 9 dailies. 3 in-depth dailies a week is plenty IMO. Unless you're a pro gamer and you want him to tutor you 2 - 3 hours per day, I think the current situation should please you.

I know it's no hugely important thing, but if anyone was curious, the red korean player in daily 238 is slayers Rache. Cast was a bit too blurry for me to read the other player's name.

I just had a funday monday winner bm me after the game. I lost, fair enough but then the guy just lost his shit at me still. Interesting fellow

I wonder if Day9 can do a Funday Monday where you can only build resource centers in your main only (command centers, orbital commands, planetary fortress, hatchery, lair, hive, and nexus) and never on expos. If you need more mules/scans, larva, or chrono boosts, you have to build them in your main. This forces you to long distance mine off expos and make more workers to compensate. Should call it Ants
