No no. Even a casual observer knows the Association will endeavor to make the Cavs appear competitive when they reach the finals, as they have done for two years already. He will note Tristan Thompson's 55th straight uncalled over the back foul. That Draymond Green will best Lebron in a petty sparring contest only to have that victory rescinded "on review". Perhaps they will even endeavor to have the great Witch Doctor Stephen A. Smith put a hex on Lebron's opponent (as he did to cast an empowering spell on Ray Allen in 2014). The extent of their efforts is truly beyond limit.

But, more seriously, Lebron, for a superstar, and TT for a good roleplayer are two of the players one which their playoff performances can be most affected by refereeing. If refs apply "Shaq rules" properly to Lebron (aka you, Shaq committed the first foul and we didn't call it, so we are letting minor hacks go) he gets fewer FTs, lower FG%, etc. If they go only halfway (let Shaq initiate contact, call petty hacks anyways) you have to 2015 Spurs him to win. And Thompson, jesus, he should foul out in under 10 minutes of gametime every playoff game.

It's interesting now that I think about what you brought up, though. From what I've read, Lebron does get "Shaq'ed", missing out on foul calls because he's so strong, but he's also the goto example when people talk about "superstar calls".

It would be easy to find more where you fully admit, even argue that no team especially the raptors out of the east have any chance vs who comes out of the west. Infact this discussion started by you saying with how the cavs are looking no one has a chance. Well the wizards celts are much better then last year and if lowry gets healthy so are the raptors. So if there was such parity last year? And more teams got better then got worse from last year why is the east so bad? Even your own logic shows that the cavs were by far the best team in the east and them faltering is huge. Where as in the west now if the Warriors stumble or say face an injury to there best player (cough cough) do we not think the Spurs and rockets can't carry the torch? Or the Warriors are not still deadly? This was the same last year.
