First: all star weekend was lame af... the dunk contest was a snoozefest.
Second: WTF SACRAMENTO!!!! This is crazy. They probably could have gotten so much more in return. And, AD / Boogie on the same team. That is bonkers. Talk about twin towers, jesus christ. I wonder if this is going to actually work out? Alvin Gentry must be doing backflips

The NBA should give home court advantage in the NBA finals to the team that comes from the side that wins the all star game. Right now it is like watching a FFA game in StarCraft, people watch but no one cares. People get more excited to know who is going play than the actual event.

Eww. Terrible plan. The ASG is perfect as is because it reflects the average level of "fucks given" by the all stars. Clearly this is a low number. It is good to know the number, however.

Sac's hoping for an AD injury and subsequent pelican lottery pick (which they'll blow anyway). I think most teams that are already high seeds are very wary of trading for boogie when he's going to be suspended for every tech in the playoffs, has never had a winning season, chews through coaches and can do unknowable locker room damage. It's pretty damning that the Pelicans were rumored to be considering a similar deal for Jahlil Okafor...
As for Boston they're already contending whilst having the Nets tank for them. The only way they can really fuck that up is by taking a risk on someone like Boogie.

the Nets might not have to share the Barclay's Center with the New York Islanders much longer. NHL Hockey just don't bring in enough cash. its the boring-est form of hockey i know of.

speculation is they'll make more money with the Islanders gone. maybe the Nets can spend their way out of 2 or 3 of the 50 mistakes they've made the past few years.
