It was pretty horrific, and he deserved a red and a serious suspension, I agree. Whether anything will be done depends on UEFA (and football in general)´s stupid rules on whether the referee already judged the issue during the match. If he did then they cannot give a red card post-match, and suspend him accordingly.

Of course, in this case, I think he will get suspended. Clearly the referee did not see that completely uncontrolled tackle properly, or he would have drawn a red card immediately. I don´t think Moreno really intended any harm and he was aiming for the ball, but he was completely uncontrolled and blasted straight into Shaw in the most horrendous manner.

II remember some people saying that the player making an injury that severee should be suspended for roughly the same time as the player injured.

I dont think it was that bad of an idea, some players get away with just too much, a simple red for someone that could literally ends someonea carrier its nothing

Actually the problem I think is that the there is tooo much of a plan. Van Gaal has very rigid systems and not all players are receptive to the level of micromanagement that goes into his tactics.

Go this way, make this run at this time across this player in that direction when ball is in X spot. Its like drawing up a American football playbook.

I am obvioulsy just taking the mickey. I think ManU overrated themselves, underrated PSV and played horribly. PSV on the other hand, played above their normal level. The only one who seemed somewhat on point at ManU was ex-PSV player Depay. Ironic, innit

its not untrue that teams like Palace improving. They are for sure, the talent that English teams have access too kinda makes it a guarantee that atleast some teams will make good enough buys to get better. Others not so much but you look at guys like Payet that would probably walk into a top 4 team on current form and you have to admit there is quality in the PL at the lower tiers.

The problem is that the top teams are not where they should be. So as good as Palace, Swansea or West Ham are they will never be title contenders. And frankly the teams that should be title contenders dont look it. Well most of them anyway.

Italian teams are on another level when it comes to tactics, Evra said as much. Juve might be slightly inferior on paper (and experience a dip in form), but they still had enough quality to make it an even game with a better game plan and better tactical awareness.

Juve had 3 shots on target and converted two of them, City had 5 converting 0 (as its an own goal right they scored?)

One stat i don't get from that game is how no one got a yellow card, unheard of for an Italian team that ? xD

Yeah i concede Kompany goal was a foul but still doesn't change the stats from that, Buffon makes good saves, Hart has 3 shots at him the whole game etc.

Two Draws and 1 loss to Athletico. It isn't as bad as Gladbach or Chelsea yet imo. And Sevilla always does an incredible job internationally whereas City always disappoints.

It's gonna be close between Sevilla and Man C but English teams are so unbelievably dreadful when it comes to any sort of tactical plan that I'd favor Sevilla over Man C.
