He isn't the best DM in the world by any stretch of the imagination, he could potentially imo play LW but you have alot of better people ahead of him in those positions in both Real and Bayern so i don't get the transfer either. As Marcelo is absolutely amazing in pre season so far, just watch him rekt Chelsea like he is Bale/Ronaldo merged ![]() He's been saying for years he doesn't actually want to be left back, this was one of the main points Bayern fans were worried about before he finally decided to extend his contract to 2021. But let's be honest that's the main position the world's elite teams would use him for. So it doesn't make much sense for him to switch teams. And Bayern has no incentive to sell core players.

You keep saying that they dont sell core players. While I agree with you, in Alaba's case they gave a counter offer though. If Bayern are not interested in selling then they just stay silent, they dont do counteroffers. So imo Alaba has switched from "not going to sell" to "sell only if the price is good enough".

I think they purposely gave a counter offer Real wouldn't take. I'm sure Ancelotti really wants to keep Alaba, left back is a position that's hard as hell to replace.

Exeter get the season started away to Blackpool tomorrow. Which is worth mentioning not just be I like to give you guys unnecessary information about Exeter. But also worth noting that Blackpool where a Premier League team 5 years ago. I haven't followed the K-League so much since I moved to China but it's been hit by match fixing scandals and financial crisis at some of the major clubs (basically anyone to do with the oil industry is in a dire trouble). Jeonbuk have been dominating the top League but are one of the clubs most heavily conected with the match fixing so who knows what will happen there. Suwon FC (The only club not owned by big buisness in the Korea top league) look depressingly condemned back to the second league. But they are at least showing fincially well run clubs can compete in Korea football and the sport doesn't have to rely on huge companies pumping money into the clubs. I hope more community based clubs start to emerge. Ansan have dominatted the 2nd tier but are moving their home base (since they are the police team that's not as bad as it sounds) next year and won't be eligible for promotion to the top tier. So that leaves a close race between Gangwon, Daegu (both fallen clubs from the top league) and Bucheon (who are a community based club formed when SK Telecom decided to forsake Bucheon and move thier team to the far side of Jeju. Obviouslly I want Bucheon to win promotion. Thier fans deserve it so much.) Busan haven't even got close to promotion after they where relegated last year I haven't really got into Chinese football yet. But I will go and watch the Beijing teams at some point. So England... I can't even begin to call what will happen this season but I'm excited for the action to start. The Manchester sides have all the money but huge manager changes might take a while for them to settle. Aresnal will be Aresnal. Hopefully Chelsea can be competitive again and I would love it if Leicester could at least be competitive again. Liverpool are probably a bit of step behind the big clubs but with klopp and their new stands exciting things are happening there too. What about Spurs? And West Ham are busy trying to make themselves a big team too. edit:That Aberdeen goal.

A counter offer? The fuck are you talking about? It's just some made up bullshit from AS.

Neuer played 51 games for Bayern last season Hart played 47 but he was injured and didn't play a single domestic cup fixture So adding the domestic cup and missing games, Harts total would take Man City games up to 58. So not much difference actually. Minus fact that Bayern had 2 weeks off and Man City did not!
