Reus will never replace Ronaldo due to the fact that he is German. If they werent all millionairs we would call the transfer market rasist as fuck

There's a reason the best teams in the world (national and international) don't ever play 442. 442 blows.
Isn't the PL the only league where that style is even played anymore? It's outdated as fuck. There's a reason why the PL is so ridiculously bad tactically. You can theorize it all you want, but dynamically, it's a terrible system. And you can play 433 just fine with the English team. Rooney on 10, Sturridge on 9, Chamberlain/Sterling wingers and just fill up midfield with Henderson/Wilshere or a holding midfielder instead of Henderson.
IN a system like that you can actually have players switch up positions and the fullbacks will have way more space to make runs. It offers much more dynamic to the team which is way harder to play against.

The 442 is still used heavily but as a defensive strategy, for example Athletico killed Barca last season with it.
The 4-4-2 is kinda dead because the defensive 4 of the opponent team gets bigger, look at Germany at the WC for example. modern CB has to do 2 things: Pass and defend crosses and against good defenders wing attacks that are not "inverted" (right fooded player plays on the left wing) are very ineffective. Also the ways to the middle of the field, were most top level games are decided, are very long. If you look at the "standard" 4-2-3-1 you have potentially 6 to 8 players that are able to shift into the middle of the field.
Also the striker based offense is super dead except for Messi and Ronaldo so fielding two of them makes zero sense.
