there is a promotion of some sort every so often, they've given away a couple thousand of gear over the past several months.
but this is an old blog post from the start of the year. But beyond gaming has ran quite a bit of stuff recently. (linked mostly for the picture)

Any plan to add products other then steelseries? I would definitely take part in this it's just steel series mouses do no agree with my curly hair, it gets stuck in the opening for the laser on the mouse. Keyboard wise no cherry red switches and I can't go back after using them! I do need a new keyboard bad too! enter key doesn't work

falls off your head occasionally? alot of people dont realize how much hair people lose that is normal.
and anyway thats a problem with just about any mice. But keeping a clean and maintained mouse pad prevents this.

How does Beyond Gaming turn a profit? I'm not seeing anything about an end date for the free tokens thing, and I don't think giving away free gear keeps servers and services online.

I was thinking the same thing Anachronistic, but do realize you have to play a large amount of games to be able to get any of the gear; the marginal utility of your feedback and activity may be higher than the cost.

10 of their tokens is roughly the equivalent of about $.01. I doubt they are worried about giving away pennies even if it adds up to be quite a few of them.

The Astro gaming gear bag looks nice, however 8,500 tokens, it means I have to play 850 games and submit feedback after each game? Or the 10 tokens per games is only for the next 10 days or so, how do we earn tokens after that?

Yea can u give more details about tokens and all that stuff? Will you be hosting some tournaments with tokens as prize, the 10 tokens per match will only be given during this 2 weeks? That seems pretty interesting

its more like 10 bonus tokens a game... You bet tokens per individual match. So for example you could bet 500 tokens. and win or lose you gain 10 tokens. The more you bet obviously the less games you have to play so it isnt 850... Unless its impossible for you to win games and you go the other direction, esports =P

the additional 10 tokens is a limited time promotion. Tokens are basically an exchangeable currency of the site, they will not vanish after this promotion, and while i dont know whats coming next. there more than likely will be a another promotion after this one. Examples of previous promotions they ran, was the HOTS launch ladder, which the winner won pretty much an epic kit of a gear. Before that was their beta promotions with a wide variety of prizes, with a variety of ways to win them, feedback, most games played, most won, etc..

Of course the topic starter (conveniently?) forgot to mention the following:
* Currently only shipping prizes to the United States and Canada
So all of you non american/canadians won't be getting any value out of it.
So before you start playing these 950-1300 games, make sure you won't get disappointed ;-)

this way of playing starcraft isnt working, its like 6 ppl online at one time and if you ,like me. Live in Eu,its pointless. since all the prizes are US SHIPPING ONLY. so yeh.. and you need 10,000 tokens to get CHANCE on A40 headset.. and you get 10 per match.. do the math. its waste of time lol
