You need to provide us with some personal data as well, as we need to prevent de-frauding of our free money offer, which sadly happens.
Q: Can you share some facts & numbers about PokerStrategy.com?
A: Of course: – More than 4 million members – We gave out more than 1 million $50 bankrolls – 12,000 videos – 500 new per month – 18 languages, including Korean, Chinese, Spanish, Russian... – 600,000 forum posts per month
PokerStrategy.com is the sponsor for the TeamLiquid Starleague 3. The tournament will have a $34,500 Prize Pool and the best players from all over the world. Qualifiers are running now, and make sure to check out the official broadcasts in March. Discuss with other fans in the TSL3 Forum.
Pokerstrategy.com is an amazing site. the basic articles alone contain more information than 90% of any poker school out there, even the ones you have to pay hundreds a month for.
Unfortunately, those with a us IP can't join
I really don't understand why this is. Plenty of other sites do it, and I would imagine that PS is losing a huge customer base by not allowing US players to join.
"Online gambling" as our nanny state defines it, is illegal in the Land of the Free. PokerStrategy is only complying with the draconian perfectly fair will of the State Lotto & Casino Lobby law.

As for the limitations on the US players - unfortunately the US laws do not allow for external sites such as ours to get involved with the poker scene in the states. Even though we are an affiliate and not an actual poker room, it is better to be on the safe side and not take risks in such things (you never know what you might get sued for in the US, right? )
@CopperLeague: It's debatable whether online poker is legal or illegal in the U.S. Some poker rooms act as if it is, some others as if it is not.
Maybe the New Jersey law change can be a start. Long-term, we of course want to be in the U.S. - but we always do what's safest for us and our members.

Ya I mean I totally understand the reasoning for it, better safe than sued etc. And ya, the legal system in the US is pretty stupid. But the fact of the matter is that there are literally thousands of coaching sites that operate just fine in the US, as well as hybrids like Full Tilt for example.
I just don't understand the specific concern. Isn't the issue taking payments etc. in the US? is the $50 free bonus what puts the site in question?
On January 13 2011 06:55 Pokebunny wrote: I'm quite confused as to why such a large site wouldn't try to clear their business practices to work under US law.
It really has nothing to do with the site or business. It's all because of a great deal of vagueness and uncertainty in US law regarding the legality of online poker.
It's like this for just about any site dealing with US citizens. Even TwoPlusTwo doesn't extend any of the deals in their bookstore to US residents, and they're probably the most well known and respected poker site out there.
Probably it's because both 2+2 and us are cautious.
Many lawyers tell us: "Go ahead, what you do is fully legal in the U.S. You're not even a poker room yourself - and even that might be legal."
But we want to do only what we are 100% sure of. And that is focussing on making our players better and optimising the value we can deliver for them in content, services, events and promotions.
Hopefully at some point not too far away will we be able to do that in the U.S. without fearing legal hassle that keeps us away from doing our job. Maybe even before TSL4 - also depends on how quick TeamLiquid is on that front

You and me both. Scary legal stuff scares the fish away
I'm not even sure how this is possible. States are not allowed to regulate interstate trade activity and I assume that you would be operating in a different state. I think the only thing the US government cares about is money laundering since a lot of people assume the internet is "safe".
One day online betting will be legal again as I am sure that millions of people in the US do it right now.
Seriously, everytime i see PokerStrategy being mentioned, be it when it's sponsoring TSL or just random forum threads, i sign up, i start getting into it and genuinly want to learn how to play poker, but after failing the quiz two times in a row now i feel like i'll never be able to learn how to play poker That said, i'm going to give it another shot tonight
Props for everything you're doing, if it wasn't for the fact that PokerStrategy was run by Starcraft players and sponsoring events such as TSL i never would have cared for poker at all

You can access the Site from the U.S by using a proxy server in some other country. Works like a charm
Just wanted to kinda give my testimonial to support pokerstrategy. Even though I love poker I was skeptical someone would just hand me 50$ for passing some random test. I tried it out though and its actually legit. I'm having fun playing it(whenever I'm not playing SCII)
I am actually pretty terrible at poker but I am learning :D, Who knew 1 and 2 cent blind poker could be so cutthroat ^^
So far im up 5 bucks. Cheers to pokerstrategy and oh yea <3 for one more reason to love living in Canada :D
On January 13 2011 06:55 Pokebunny wrote: I'm quite confused as to why such a large site wouldn't try to clear their business practices to work under US law.
that is not so easy as the laws and regulations are not clear and the general conduct is that online poker involving money is illegal,
just to give you a little insight as I used to work for Full Tilt Poker,
the only legal online poker is the one with out money, thats why there exist FullTiltPoker.net which has no reference to paying money, only when you make the step yourself to FullTiltPoker.com you can deposit money
the legal contact address of the .COM company is in Nicaragua, the Servers are in Kanawaukee under another company name, an Indian reservation where the Federal US laws don't apply and all Support for the company is run trough another company from here in Ireland and one in Vancouver where there is also another company who manages the public advertising for the .NET part of the company. (other companies use similar structures to be able promote their website and offer support)
another problem is for example that the Bank of America processes no Payments to any Poker related sites.
so you see, its not so easy to do business in the US if you are with onlinepoker....
On January 13 2011 16:00 Madsquare wrote: May I ask how you finance this site? Is it just from the advertising of the 'partner' pokersites?
Hey Madsaquare,
in doing what we do, we generate value for the poker rooms: - new players - more proficient players that play more or over a longer time - making poker / their rooms seen as an operator of strategy games and not shady gambling
That's what we get paid for - so you can call us 'advertising financed' in simple terms.
What's the advantage of registering at PokerStrategy.com instead of using a Pokerroom directly?
If I register at PokerStrategy.com do I have to register for every Pokerroom they cooperate with individually again or does it use the same log in info so that I can directly use any of them straight away?
Oh God! Am I even allowed to say this? Well here goes anyway: I love it that we have such a great sponsor for TSL with such a huge prize pool and all that good stuff! However IMO I think Online Poker is a bad thing bordering on a social evil, causing many an unassuming soul to leave behind a honest-to-goodness job, mental attitude & lifestyle and embrace something very characteristic- The Poker way of Life. Seeing it happen to one of my friends I have to caution others about this. To be crystal, If you are clear-headed and self-controlled, Poker can be just fine; but to the weak-minded and wavering I would advise you to steer clear. Always remember: Everything to moderation, Nothing to excess! There! Now thats off my conscience.
On January 14 2011 06:01 Copenap wrote: What's the advantage of registering at PokerStrategy.com instead of using a Pokerroom directly?
Hey Copenap,
basically, you can see us as a layer above the poker rooms.
We do not try to be an operator - but allow you to chose where to play from all the major operators (we have 30 partners).
Our principles:
1. No downside or hidden/indirect cost: You never have a disadvantage monetarily by singing up through us - i.e. you get the same rewards from the poker room that you would get otherwise. Tendentially even more - such as freerolls, exclusive promotions etc.
2. Upsides: While doing that, we try to maximise our value for you in terms of content, website features, services, help and support.
While you play on a poker room that you signed up on through us, you gather StrategyPoints. With your StrategyPoints, you earn member levels - which again unlock content and services on higher levels.
In total, we have 12,000 coaching videos in 18 languages and thousands of pages of articles - plus events, services, promotions..
If I register at PokerStrategy.com do I have to register for every Pokerroom they cooperate with individually again or does it use the same log in info so that I can directly use any of them straight away?
You need to sign up on poker rooms individually through us. That way, you fully control who has access to your personal data.
To gather StrategyPoints then, you enter your poker room user name / ID at PokerStrategy.com - our data feed with the operators will then do the job on a daily basis.
@SushiL: Well - I agree. Every game, no matter how interesting, challenging and fascinating should be played moderately, except for those who can make a living. And even for those, I'd always suggest not to keep one-tracked, so never stop studies, jobs, social life for neither poker nor StarCraft
Q: If I pass the test and choose to get the $50 free on Cake Poker can I still get rakeback with lets say the liquid poker offer? Or are they mutually exclusive?
Trying to decide between WH, Party or Cake since I made a FT acc back when I was a complete noob and played for playmoney (any input about that appreciated too)
Is it true that if you sign up to sites via pokerstrategy, you don't get the usual rakeback for those sites that a regular rakeback affilate would offer? and instead of rakeback you get access to the pokerstrategy site content? Or do you get the standard amounts of rakeback as well?
On January 14 2011 08:46 Sels wrote: Q: If I pass the test and choose to get the $50 free on Cake Poker can I still get rakeback with lets say the liquid poker offer? Or are they mutually exclusive?
You can track each account only once.
But: you will also be able to get rakeback through PokerStrategy.com - the full 33% at Cake Poker and the full 27% at Full TIlt Poker e.g. (might be that you'd need a minimum deposit to activate rakeback - but that'd not be different from other options to get rakeback).
Our firm policy is that even though we focus on being the best poker school and community, that you should not worry about tracking your accounts on us - we want to make sure that also on a pure monetary level, you have no disadvantage compared to other offers/options.
To be honest, in comparison to smaller affiliates like Liquid Poker, even our monetary offer will most probably be superior to others - e.g. we do offer a $60k rake race at Cake Poker that is only shared by four distinct other affiliates.
Trying to decide between WH, Party or Cake since I made a FT acc back when I was a complete noob and played for playmoney (any input about that appreciated too)
All three good choices. Most players would say that PartyPoker has the best software of the three and Cake Poker less traffic (i.e. choice of tables) than William Hill and PartyPoker.
I see tons of potential in this. In fact i'm not the only one as it seems. Great community on lots of different languages. Keep up! What best way to join poker but following my other passion - starcraft ;] -best regards Martin
On January 15 2011 03:01 masterbreti wrote: this sounds like fun, but if only i didn't suck at poker. lol
Well, that's even the reason you should come PokerStrategy.com.
Of course, from the outside, many just see a poker community and the option to get $50 for free without a deposit - but on the inside, we're the best at giving you first easy-to-use strategies, then insights and then ever advanced skills.
no-limit? i really don't understand poker lingo at all. i can't even win a match of poker, i guess i know a little about texas hold all, though you can only play it in texas from what i understand anyways.
After that, you can decide for a game type (Fixed Limit, Small Tournaments, No-Limit). You learn the appropriate beginners' strategy (3-4 articles per game type), pass our 20 question quiz and then get your $50 to play with.
After a few thousand hands then you should know what poker really is like and whether you want to try it longer-term
Could you guys maybe open up your content in the strategy sections for US and keep the rooms closed. I play alot of live poker and found every single article about poker strategy interesting and potentially profitable thanks.

I already signed up to Pokerstrategy at the last raffle - and my email is still registered in there... Will i have to create a new account with a new email address?
Last year, I made an account and finished the quiz, to enter the raffle... But then I saw in the "fine print" that you had to have an old TL-account (from before the raffle) in order to enter, which I didn't. So since I was never in the raffle last time, I should get a chance now, right? But going back to the old raffle thread, there is nothing about any referral link, but instead you participated by posting your pokerstrategy nick in that thread.
So apparently I have an account on pokerstrategy from last year, finished quiz and all, but I'm pretty sure it's not been created through a referral link. Could you check if that's the case? If I'm not, is there any way to fix it? I suppose I'm not allowed to just make a new account. I'd really like to participate in the raffle... My pokerstrategy nick is Agrajag.
Great thing: you don't even have to clear your browser cookies - last cookie / referrer counts!
Alternatively or to make it super sure, you can enter "TeamLiquid" as the one who referred you in the sign-up form. Make sure you write it correctly and together if you chose to do so.
Everyone who thinks he might have done something wrongly can write his username in this thread & I will forward the usernames to our customer service. If you signed up in the period since January 1, we can probably retrack you so you can participate in the raffle.
Creating a 2nd account is not possible, as we have a one-account-per-user policy. Why? Because the $50 is a real investment into you - and if we'd allow users to get that multiply, we would just lose money
Btw. TeamLiquid profits also if you do more than just grabbing the $50 and sitting back. If you play with the $50 actively for some days, it greatly increases the chance the campaign is successful and we can afford to sponsor future events
I did signed up to the pokerstrategy.com got the 20 questions test good, requested the 50$ via Full Tilt.com and registered and entered my personnal infos ..
Lmk if i'm correctly signed up for the raffle please? thanks a lot

I had a lot of problems signing up for the TSL3 raffle. If it's not to much of a hassle I would like you to check if it went through. My username on pokerstrategy.com is OminouSC2 since OminouS was taken

If you signed up before January 1, 2011, I'm afraid we won't be able to move you on the tracker where the raffle will happen.
It would also be a little unfair to the others, as they expect the conditions (and such a smaller raffle pool) that were stated in the raffle news.

I think currently, most attention and all the (limited) resources of the busy TL staff are directed towards SC2. And this makes sense as it is the one chance for us all to grow the StarCraft community (where I would not make a difference between SC1/BW/SC2).
Whether this growing interest in SC in general leads to a revival of SC1/BW at some point of time - we will see. If we gain a foothold in Korea and SC1/BW stays popular there, I could also imagine something on that angle

Pokerstrategy ID: strang221
Thanks. I don't know anything about poker so I'll probably lose that $50 pretty quick. Should I wait until my raffle ticket is confirmed before I throw away my free money?
Best choice would be to try to stick to the strategy you learned to the quiz and at least for some poker sessions try to have a serious take on it.
Many StarCraft players love poker and are well-suited for it. So if you come to the conclusion after some time that you're not really into it, you can still waste the rest of your bankroll.
Lol strang, use what you learn in the quizz, then after some hands you'll earn the bronze status. After that you can read more articles and more videos. If you read the articles and the videos before trying to do a lot of crazy things you'll make moneys. First thing you need to know is that bluffing is almost impossible in micro limit if the guy is a fish. He'll call you allin with bottom pair.
well i signed up just for the raffle, hopefully it went through, i completed the quiz and and am going through the confimation of my age sort of stuff.
Pokerstrategy id "Focuspants", also wondering if I signed up for the raffle correctly. Not sure if you have to claim the $50 first or not for the process to complete. Im gonna submit my ID stuff later today. LMK whats up if you got a chance :D

P.S the $50 bankroll is a pretty sweet deal, looking forward to seeing where I get with it :D
For the next time I believe u should be launching a parallel/smaller TSL for bw. Like 10k prizepool for sc2, 1k prizepool for sc1. That way u'll get another tourney running and collect other fans that do not like sc2 but still keeping it as ur main focus.
Also I got started at poker with ur 50 usd so thank u guys.

On January 24 2011 14:16 AKcommie wrote: Couple questions

Most poker rooms have a "1 account per person" policy, so you can only receive the $50 at a poker room you don't have an account with yet.
Can I get the bonus and still get the rakeback from a site like pocketfives.com?
Not necessary, as we give you the maximum legal rakeback on all our partner sites. I would even bet that on just monetary terms (let alone the free money, the poker education etc.), we're just superior to pocketfives.
Our policy is that even though we focus on education and community, we don't want you to have monetary disadvantages by signing up through us. Only that way can we be truly free - and we can afford it, as we're by far the biggest affiliate world-wide.
@astroorion: Hopefully, yes. On the one hand if legislation changes (what it did in New Jersey, which could open up opportunities). On the other hand if we find a model in which we can offer at least a part of our services to the US.
@mumming: Effectively, us. Means: we'd lose money if the average player lifetime would be too low - which is why we do our best to either make you an enthusiast poker fan (who enjoys it recreationally) and/or (even better) a sustainable winning player.
Even though, the $50 bonus is credited by the poker room (we trigger this process) and has certain conditions to prevent abuse (e.g. you can't cash out before you played amount X).
And in the end of the day, you could also argue that the $50 is paid for by people who in the past got the $50 and brought us positive returns. But there it gets a little philosophical
Is there a way to sign up for the site just for the strategy articles if I live in the USA? I'm interested in reading the articles but I don't care about the $50 because I understand the legal probelms.
@shammythefox: average handling time is <12h, but sometimes it can take a little longer (overnight etc.). If you don't get an answer today, come back to me (also by mail: lutz@pokerstrategy.com).
@Najda: currently no - but we're working on ways to allow US customers to access part of our content/services. Unsure though on how long it might take - sorry :/
Here is another question: Do you ever think the Poker Strategy will ever sponsor a TL Competition (Like the one to go to Korea) Where US Residents can participate?
we'd love to - because we of course would prefer to be able to accept US customers.
We hope that either by having a variant of our offer that is safe to offer to US citizens or by a legal change in the US, we will be able to do that, soon.
Came here to ask if the raffel drew the usernames we used to register at PS.com or something else (real name, TL username)?

I was unsure if I got the referral so I wrote Team Liquid but after reading through this thread I'm reasonably certain I did it wrong (space in between the words).
PS.com Username: Sugarfluff
Was also curious on how much the campaign depends on continued playing on chosen poker site as opposed to continued activity on PokerStrategy.com. While I don't doubt that I will play some online poker I tend to preffer the good ol' poker nights with the guys which leads me to believe I will use PS.com far more than any actual online poker site.
all your usernames here in the thread / sent to me by mail will be checked before the raffle.
@Night[7]: of course the success of the campaign depends on whether people play or just get the $50 and do nothing. On customers who do nothing or lose their $50 quickly, we don't earn a thing.
But your community activity on PokerStrategy.com is also valuable, even if you don't play a lot
Just wanted to say that this site is excellent, and thank you for sponsoring the TSL! Your sponsorship of Starcraft is what led me to Pokerstrategy and online poker in general
Unfortunately it seems Full Tilt recently increased their minimum buy-in for NL10 to 35BB it seems which kind of invalidates the Short Stack Strategy I was learning from PokerStrategy :-( Oh well, maybe I should just read the other articles and learn how to play properly instead, hehe.
I did forget to use the teamliquid code so I'm not in the raffle - could you please add StillRooney?
Also want to double check i used the referral properly, i signed up for PokerStrategy.com early last year i believe, i didn't do the quiz untill this morning, I want to make sure i used to referral properly.
I will try hard to earn alot of rakeback for you guys when i receive my starting capital.

Hey there, I was wondering if you can help me with regards to the ID Checking, I somehow seemed to have an unsuccessful ID check and thus miss out on the opportunity for the $50 offer towards one of the poker sites as well as the raffle draw here for Korea, and was curious if there was anything that could be done to remedy this issue? For it could have simply been information that was incorrectly given and poker strategy site didn't give a reasoning for denying the ID check.
If nothing else be sure to add one more viewer towards supporting Team Liquid if I happen to be out of luck
So from reading the thread. I got that one account per user. That's clear and understandable, but does that mean people who entered the raffle for TSL2 are not eligible for the raffle for TSL3? From the little clues I gather that's the case. Though my naive nature makes me hope for the opposite.
@ZhenMiChan: Poker software can roughly be seperated into two parts: 1. Training & analysis - we e.g. offer the EquiLab that allows you to train your skills in estimating your equity in a poker hand. @Oathmaster: Please drop me a line to lutz@pokerstrategy.com and I will see what I can do.
@HeaDStrong: That's currently the case. Although I see that it's not a nice situation and in possible future scenarios, we should think about that carefully.

I am actually pretty terrible at poker but I am learning :D, Who knew 1 and 2 cent blind poker could be so cutthroat ^^
So far im up 5 bucks. Cheers to pokerstrategy and oh yea <3 for one more reason to love living in Canada :D
I can totaly underline that. A good friend of mine did the same and made actually about 400 Bucks out of that. Its pretty good for people who want to get started in Poker.
Ok, so ... i think i might have fucked up :D ... i pressed the referral link, did the quiz ... got the $50 on Full Tilt Poker.... but now i remember that I wasnt logged in on teamliquid, when i pressed the referral link, so I guess im not entered into the raffle then, if so ... can you (admins) ... fix it?
And I didnt use the same username either , on Full Tilt Poker and Poker Strategy my username is "wogge" ... sure hope this is fixable.
I just signed up for this and created an account on William Hill. I put in the promo code and I got a message saying that the code is invalid. This seems like a problem? Or is this normal?
HI, i'm considering signing up with pokerstrategy and playing on one of the poker websites, but I am wondering how you guys give us the 50$, do we need to add our credit card or something? I'm fine with sending in the ID but I dont know about other info, how does the process of you giving us the 50$ after we send in id work?
@woone: You did not need to be logged in at TeamLiquid, the link itself was enough to track you correctly. Username also isn't an issue
@ziggurat: Can you try to formulate that a little more precisely and send it as a ticket to our customer service? You can find it here if you're logged in: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/home/support/
@Templar.: We grant you the $50 by a specific process set up with our partner poker rooms. Credit card data is not needed, also nothing else that involves payment data. You might need that later on on the poker room if you wish to cash out winnings. To get the $50, you may need to pass an ID check (not always), which can involve sending an ID scan to help preventing multiple accounts.
@mprs: If you used the referrer link, nothing is needed there. But you can also enter "TeamLiquid" - also works.
Great to have this kind of feedback from PokerStrategy, really admirable.
One question though: If I get the free $50, start playing and win a couple of small tables what will happen to the money I earn? Will I have to spend the winnings first, before I get to use the bonus cash?
@sJarl: The $50 comes with some conditions, varying slightly depending on the room you chose. In general, the condition is: "you need to play volume X within timeframe Y to be able to cash out the $50 bonus".
If you don't meet the conditions but won money, you still keep your winnings, but the $50 is deducted again.
But no worries, normally players either go inactive anyways or - if they stick with poker for some time - easily meet the conditions.
I entered the raffle a few days ago, but I have still not recieved my $50. I have the account up, I passed the test, I verified the account and I have entered the personal data.
My Login there is Batblib. Can you help me, or if not; where should I ask? ($50 is only the second most important here, I mainly just want to be in the raffle)
Well my ID check failed for some reason, I guess my driving license with corresponding address and proof of age is not enough. I'm glad they appreciate my support.
How do i know i am in the raffle cause i did all the stuff to do and gotten my 50 $ to a poker site but i did the referal link without bein logged in on teamliquid o.o does it matter?
Passed the quiz and as an idiot I didn't read and filled my accounts I made from before so I didn't sign up with the code. Now I can't delete the associated poker accounts from my PokerStrategy profile and therefore can't get the bonus. Hate myself lol.
@Blib: I followed your case up internally. Did you receive any email with regards to an ID check?
@Ocheba / willyireland / Elyis: There is no direct way to check your referral status, but it is not necessary to have been logged in on TeamLiquid. Using the referrer link for sign-up, entering "TeamLiquid" manual as a referer works both - independent of if you just do one or both.
I passed the quiz and it said "You passed the quiz" or something and I realized that I didn't use the referal link. I clicked on the referal link while still logged in and it went to the "You passed the quiz" page again. Did it work or I have to register again?
I registered and did the quiz at pokerstrategy ages ago, but i never completed the 50$ dollar thing by choosing a poker platform.
So i'm not registered at a poker room ( nor did i play online before) yet and could still receive the 50$. Does this mean i'm eligible to the raffle altough i did not use the referal link? Imho that would be in the spirit of the sponsorship because without TL i'd never had the idea to complete the startmoney thing (I even found out about my account because i could not register with my email address when i wanted to do the quiz for the raffle)
I am confused. To avoid going bust I usually withdraw some of the winnings since the bankroll is kind of low at the moment. I am up to around 240$, and looking at the FTP section it says
• With a deposit of at least $10, you need to collect 100 Full Tilt Points in order to cashout your starting capital and winnings. Full Tilt Points collected before you made the deposit also count towards the required 100 Full Tilt Points.
I have since then deposited 10$, however any value I use to try and cash some portion of it out is declined, just saying it cannot be processed at this time. I have 200.77FTP as well. Any ideas?
EDIT: I had to grind out 1000ftp ~_~, went as low as 25$ but managed to get it back up.

i photographed both side of my ID card, made sure everything was readable and it went fine.
Since I used to play on stars, how do I do this rakeback stuff if I have used my $50 from pokerstrategy on FTP, and have been able to grind out 1000ftp?
Good evening. I'm another person whom believes they signed up correctly to be able to be entered in the raffle for TSL3 but received no real confirmation as to whether it was successful or not despite receiving the pokerstrategy bonus. It would be greatly appreciated if that could be checked for me such that I can rest easy at night. My username on pokerstrategy.com is also Deeeno.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. And a big cheer to pokerstrategy.com for their support of the TSL.
Hey i have a question. Tried to do the TSL3 raffle when i found out i had an old account(Which was not completed, did not receive the $50 there!). So i figured i could create a new account that was actually complete right? But at the last part where you had to verify i messed up, went to check whether i had done it on the old account, and forgot to logout so i verified that old account instead.
can you fix this somehow? D: Or is my old account now eligible or what? old account was d3zzy , new TunaBarrett
I'm sort of in the same boat as Tuna. I had signed up a couple years ago but I did complete the quiz and received the $50.
I re-logged into my PokerStars account today and see that I do still have about $48.50 of that however it's considered a 'uncleared deposit' which expired July 14, 2008. I think I had an issue with depositing money with my credit card and so I stopped playing back then.
Any suggestion as to what course of action would be best at this point? Thanks.
Same as some others here, long time reader first time poster.
Was wondering if I entered for the raffle correctly, might not have been logged in when i referred, if that matters. Passed the quiz and the 50$ is cleared, username is Burlok86 on Pokerstrategy.

Hi, another player who is unsure if the signing-up-process went in TL's favor. Please be so kind as to check that, username is the same as here, Semtext.

I'm also curious if I entered the raffle correctly, if anyone from pokerstrategy could check it for me it would be really appreciated, account name : pjjatdarkbox . Soon to be pokering !
@All: I'll forward your usernames so it gets done!

At Full Tilt Poker, you need to do a minimum deposit to trigger the 27% rakeback. As a deposit starts with $10, it makes sense / pays off quickly - but of course it's not mandatory.

I would really appreciate it if you could check whether or not i have entered the raffle or not,i have completed the quiz and all the following steps but i am not sure if i am in the raffle. My Pokerstrategy username is FreddYCooL
Sorry to bother you Xantos but could you also check if I'm in the running for the raffle? My account name is tchan28 on pokerstrategy and also on WIlliam Hill.

Would appreciate if you could confirm I am entered in the raffle. I signed up via referral during the correct time period and have recieved 50 starting capital however it was granted manually as the first site I attempted to use it on was ineligible.
All right I just did the quiz, but I can't remember if I registered to PokerStrategy just becuase I read about it on TL or if I clicked the referral link (it was a good while ago). Any way to check?
Edit: Read a bit on this page. I have the same ID at PokerStrat, would appreciate if you could look it up.
Your Free $50 PokerStrategy.com starting capital have been credited to your PartyPoker account. You also have a 100% up to $100 first deposit bonus waiting for you."
I'm 99% sure this means I've done it right but I didn't see a place to refer to Teamliquid specifically (although I followed the link from the Teamliquid Raffle post). Sorry to be paranoid but I'd like to check if I have a legitimate entry.
On January 19 2011 00:55 Xantos wrote: Great thing: you don't even have to clear your browser cookies - last cookie / referrer counts!
I am also unsure if I entered the raffle properly so here is my PokerStrategy.com username: Random01
I did write TeamLiquid as my referrer, but I might have done it in lowercase, I'm not really sure. It'd be great if someone was able to check if I'm in the raffle or not (I did already recieve my 50$ during last night's broadcast). pokerstrategy.com username: mlevar
Hi I did everything. Can I get a confirmation that I am in the raffle plz? username: dial3x thanks a bunch -alex PS. you guys are awesome for doing this.
Hi Xantos, Chill and djWheat finally convinced me to take the time to do the quiz! I registered for teamliquid and pokerstrategy awhile ago but didn't take the quiz for a long time in fear of failing ><. However, at the end it wasn't as difficult as I thought! Can I please get a confirmation that I am in the raffle?
Username: bankp (for all the sites, teamliquid, pokerstrategy.com, and partypoker)
Thank you very much for the opportunity! You guys are awesome
Hello there, I did pass the test and I would just like to know if I'm in raffle. As far as I remember I wrote Teamliquid as referer. Right now waiting for the money only, my account gets verified or something like that. My ID on Pokerstrategy is Galekk, using the same emeail for TL, pokerstrategy and Full Tilt. Would be very thankful if you could check it somehow. Thanks in advance!
Hi, i would not like to seem impatient, but i would like to know if i am eligible for the raffle, I have not even seen the information on when the raffle closes, and i am also positively petrified by the notion of filling out all the requirements (so far) and not getting the 50$ (again with all due respect, <3 you guys for the free dough, but i suffer from anxiety).
So to recap: Thank you guys @ Poker strategy for the opportunity for the trip, and for the 50$ and in general you have been most patient and generous. Also, can you please just check my standing in the raffle (I do believe its either in or out at this point), I just want to know that... My handles are all the same as here...
Oh noes!!! You were supposed to write "Teamliquid" in the box when you singed up? I don't recall this being mentioned in the instructions. I used the referral link, passed the test and now I'm waiting for my 50 $. Is there a way to check if I'm in or not? Maybe after I receive the 50 $?
Xantos, can you help me with this please. You were able to forward names to Customer Service? Could you do this for me if necessary? Username: d000p
i'd like to know if i got in the raffle allright, the 50$ got to me but i dont recall if the referal was working as intended, i would really like to get that check out
How long of average does it take for the 50 dollers to go through, im glad i found such an AMAZING site, i dont so much care about the trip as the money and the ability to use this site, as i am a huge poker fiend
Want to check I'm entered to the raffle. Messed up slightly and put "TSL" in referrer box, obviously I meant teamliquid. I have received the $50 at William Hill.
I know this has been asked alot but how do I know/can you check if I'm actually in the raffle? I did everything correct afaik and the money is "on the way" (at least the email said that)
Username on pokerstrategy: oneyoner the same on fulltilt if this is important
is it possible to attend the raffle, if i registered my account in 2009 and already passed the quiz? i asked the support from pokerstrategy, but they told me, that it wouldnt be possible to attend for people which are already a member :/
Same as most people above me, I just signed up and did the quiz after djWheat and Chill's nagging this weekend I followed the referral link from the website, but nowhere did it get acknowledged that this would enter me into the TSL3 raffle or did teamliquid ever appear again. Did I get entered into the raffle? My username on pokerstrategy (and fulltilt) is Acrofales.
Thanks alot, also for sponsoring the great tournament that TSL3 is turning out to be!
I'm a bit pissed off right now ... I really wanted to enter the raffle contest but it seems that I can't. I suscribed to PokerStrategy ... filled the quiz ... succeeded and linked to my fulltilt account. It seems that we need to create a new account (with poker strategy link) to be allowed to enter the contest ... but i already have a full tilt and a party poker account. So the 50$ is denied, so no chance to enter the contest. So, I tried the last one (William Hill) ... created an account with the promotional code. I then returned to the website ... and where it's written: "Enter your Username here" ... I just can't type anything ...
Thats pretty annoying ... we are not supposed to spend 4 hours to enter a contest ...
If someone can help me plz...or have the same problem
Hey! If you're still wondering whether you're in or not, try contacting pokerstrategy support. They answer super fast.. and they said I registered via teamliquid! So I should be in then! And all of you above prob are as well! Whee!
So, the referral link doesn't do anything that's apparent to the naked eye it seems. But you are in all the same if you followed the steps. Which took like 3 h. But that's ok, it was for a good cause.
I used the referal link to sign up but then he said that the username is already in use. So I tried to use the referal link again but then I were forwarded to the normal site pokerstrategy.com/home. I signed Up manually without the referal link and entered in the field "advertised by (username)" "TeamLiquid". Is that the same as I use the referal link?
Meh everything is so complicated, i spent more time doing the accounts than doing the quiz... I hope i did it right. pokerstrategy id: SUPEROUMAN Full Tilt id: SUPEROUMAN
Hi, i completed the quiz and signed up for the first pokerroom presented, mansionpoker around a week ago and waited 4 days for the money transfer. Unfortunatly it seems mansionpoker isnt part of the 50$ program anymore, so ive quicklook contacted the support, signed up for WilliamHill and wrote to support for the new trasfer.
I dont think they are gonna get my money transferred before tomorrow, any chance i still will be in the raffle?
I think we've learned something for TSL4. Make the referral link actually acknowledge that you are from TL. That would get rid of 90% of these questions.
There was a problem transfering the money to my FTP account, will I be eligible for the raffle still? The money should be transfered as soon as my ticket is read since the details on my FTP account are correct.

I finished the process, got the 50$ on Full Tilt and am Bronze status now. But as i mentioned in the post earlier i did not use the referral link, could you somehow enter me intro the raffle please (as i understood you was possible). Thx in adavance:
