It also all depends on how/who you're playing with, one of my old teams classified players into four roles, slayer, flanker, anchor and another type that escapes me right now.... Basically, slayers kill things, you point them at the enemy and let them loose, they sometimes have no clue wtf they are doing, but you let them do it because the leave a trail of blood, bodies, and open objectives. Flankers are people that are either semi-slayers, able to hold their own but rarely have too due always shooting people in the ass; generally they try to avoid straight up fights and instead take out people holding a position/objective. Anchors are semi-slayers, they are a hybrid of sorts, they are usually the best AR players on a team but can also use guns like the AWP or equivalent. Personally, I'm an anchor, although I have played a main slayer role as well, so a lot of my experience and knowledge is based around map movements, callouts, and timers from when I played CoD, for BF3/4 it was more my map knowledge, including map/engine exploits. | ||

Otherwise no you'd rather go slower and wide and each new "spot" that you're checking is checked at one at a time so you don't run out into the open and then have to aim at half a dozen spots they could be shooting at you from. If you take it slow and wide you are eliminating the need to aim at more than one spot at a time, at least in theory. | ||

Oh, so that's what I was doing wrong. I might be interested in playing a bit more tonight. Arms race was interesting, but I do like the regular mode better. Would just be better not to be playing ranked lol | ||
