Of course that entire thing is silly when you know about mechanics at the time.. The whole many dots thing is silly when you remember that at the time Mobs couldn't hold the amount of DoT's put out by a 40 man raid. At the time the cap was 15 or so. Dot's tended to be taken up by Raid wide boosts(Sunder Armor, dmg increase stuff, dmg decrease stuff) and thats about it. So yeah.. now you know I guess. | ||

Ubrs was ran as a 15 man, Scholomance and Stratholme as 10's(eventually people went to 5 man due to gearing and easier yaay) + Show Spoiler + | ||

Sunder, Curse of Elements/Shadows, and that's the end of 'raid wide' debuffs that matter during Onyxia air phase. The many dots thing was not silly when Onyxia was relevant content, and even long after she was relevant a guild's first/early Onyxia kills were probably sloppy as fuck and could use the added SWP/Warlock DoT dps in air phase. | ||
