So not within the same city ;(. North America is so dam big. Longest intra-country flight here is 3 hours basically. Oh well man life sucks sometimes.

Want to spend whatever time I've got with her before she leaves but she says it'd be better if we both tried to move on. Kind of a right place wrong time type of deal. What do? Huh. We do live in a digital age. Not exactly hard to keep in contact. Guess she just doesn't feel the same way? Not wanting the hassle of a long-distance relationship doesn't mean you're not interested. There are different levels of commitment people are ready for, but that doesn't mean anything about their "amount" of love man. Timing is everything. long distance relationships are worth it a grand total of 0 times Dunno, I'm in a good way of getting married to my 8-years girlfriend whom I've been on a long distance relationship for about 3 years in total. But I still think it doesn't mean much. Timing/how things unfold is a very big part of a relationship, especially in the early days of it.
Well, yeah, the timing is a big part. My sister and brother-in-law had to do long distance for quite a while when he was waiting for his marriage Visa (he's from Luxembourg). But they had been together for a bit before that. Trying to make long distance work at the start of a relationship is a pitiful endeavor.

Yea I know, just at the moment I don't really care much aside from making it work but realistically this isn't happening. You know that sketch about how parallel lines are sad, but regular lines intersect each other once and never again? Feels like that.

Definitely been there bro. It sucks, but if there's nothing you can really do about, best to move on I guess =/

Good luck hitting Level 6 Silver/Gold in the Pro Player Club (or heck Plat if you win a PT)! I sort of cheat though. My girlfriend will be doing it too, so the commitment is not that crazy :p And we love to travel to Japan, we'll just make sure to line-up our dates with Shizuoka's GP (as well as Manila GP the week before). Oh and I'm a Magic judge now as well, which means I know a few people on GPs, so there's that as well. Not to mention I hope I'll be able to play with Team Revolution if I make it to the Pro Tour, since I know Raphael Levy, Pierre Dagen, Thimotée Simonot, and sort of Jeremy Dezani. Come and play Magic guys, it rooooocks ! :D Oh congrats on L1! That's pretty sweet! Maybe one day I'll also try for it hehe.
If you do go to Japan, can you get me Shuhei Nakamura's autograph for me? :o
EDIT:

Just watched all the Doctors' regenerations again.
As many conflicted feelings as I have about the show's direction under Moffat, there's still something magical about it.

Isn't that like, 150+ hours of TV? o.O

I studied 1 week for it and passed it with 2 mistakes only because I didn't accurately read the questions. If you're used to Magic rules (playing on MtGO helps a lot) it's really straightforward. For the autograph you should have asked before, I saw him when I was there 6 months ago hue hue hue. I'll try and get that when I see him the next time.
Magic is really awesome because it's such a big community but you get to know people very fast if you try. I really liked that compared to LoL where pros are sort of on another planet

Well I've only watched the reboot series.
But probably more if you watch the whole run.
Like... way more.
Edit: According to tiii.me, something like 384+ hours.

As crazy as that is, I'm pretty sure a friend of mine has done that, multiple times....

I feel that that is true for most gaming communities, though in general you need a decent amount of skill before people will take you seriously. I know a lot of people in the SoCal fighting game scene even though I suck.
The problem with LoL players is that pros get elevated to a really high pedestal by both fans and Riot and thus they kinda need to protect themselves.

Tbh it's not only LoL.
LoL/DotA/StarCraft all have pretty un-reachable pros. Fighting games are where I come from and indeed you get to know everybody really fast. But PC games mang. You need to devote your whole life to the game to ever get a shot at making it to the "high tables"

If we both ever qualify for a PT, we should test together. I've been grinding the current modern PTQ season a fair bit, haven't succeeded yet of course. One more PTQ to go this weekend before modern season is over for me.

I will also attend my last PTQ this week-end. I'm not a Modern specialist though, I'm mostly focused on limited and Standard. I'll get 100% in Modern once things really settle (I lack data to know what I want to play :p ).

Cockatrice UX is terrible and it looks like shit. I prefer to test IRL.

Oh, I agree that Cockatrice is pretty awful. But it's an option for long distance testing!
