Zimmerman wasn't a cop he was neighborhood watch. A volunteer civilian advised not to carry weapons and to only call the police. This cop shot a man in missouri after the man refused to step out of the drainage shoulder of the road. That's the cops story. The police are reacting to the Nightly riots very strongly. A lot of the unrest is coming from a lack of communication about the investigation into the shooting and the lack of faith in. The police to investigate fairly. Which historically in the us is justified. Though each department is separate and has different history and standards

Well, they're removing the local screwup of a police force with state and federal forces from the streets, so hopefully that helps.

There's been multiple witnesses to this event, unlike Trayvon and none of it exactly sounds like the officer was justified in shooting. Not that the police have interviewed any of these people. I wish I could say I was surprised, but it seems like for the past 6 months there's a story about someone getting shot while being innocent, or being put into a choke hold until they die, or any number of things. The enduring lesson seems to be there's no justice unless you're white.
