Nah you'll start getting comfy and happy and that helps you relax and fall asleep, if you aren't having a lot of sugar you shouldn't get hyper unless you are being active. and laying and reading is not active.

Bracer + Int cloak + Recp. Gives Move Speed and Attack Speed to team on active, as well as minor move speed passive. Since the clones give it it makes fights silly. Plus the added attack speed after Rad's is just nice.

D: So the dream is to play Voidcaller turn 4, get him killed asap and end up with a turn 4-5 Jaraxxus on the board, ready to rain elementals on your opponent's face (or get destroyed by anything with burst after you put yourself down to 15 HP super early)? Do you put stuff like Sense Demons in your deck to help with that? It was actually a reference to the VGVN Finals. Amaz was up 3-0 and looked like he was about to take it all with his hunter.
Then Realz put out his Demonlock deck and + Show Spoiler +rallied heavily up to 3-3 and a final game, with him dropping Jaraxxus in 3 of those.
http://www.twitch.tv/onenationofgamers/b/557120291
Start at 4:36:00 for the demonlock games to start.
Also, no, if you Voidcaller Jaraxxus, he's just a 3/15 on board, much like if you were to Mindgame him etc.
The goal of the deck is to use Void terrors+stuff like Nerubian Eggs and Power overwhelmings, with Voidcallers to both trade and pull out Doomguards/Infernals onto the field for free. It's a major tempo swing, and putting down Doomguards without discard is huge in a midrange deck (which is what Demonlock is currently).
Jaraxxus is a finisher.

Oooh, so Jaraxxus can end up on board. I was wondering (iirc technically it's a minion but its battlecry modifies your hero and removes the minion from the game?).
You make me curious to try this, my current Warlock deck is a bunch of tiny shit (elven priestess and silver squires + 1-drop class cards, SSC+DID to help trade/buff the small stuff, value neutrals like taz'dingo, golems and yeti, and for the bigger stuff argent commander and mountain giant), sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, but I found demons interesting from the start and I'm glad they seem to be in a better place now. Do you use Sense Demons to fill your hand before playing Voidcaller, or that costly card that deals 2 damage and summons a random demon, or only the minions?

Only the big minions, 1 sense demons is fine.

This is the liquidhearth thread on it, includes the Realz decklist.
It's pretty fun, tbh, much more interesting than cancer zoo.
Also, watch the games. The last series was super hype.

man my arena skills are really rusty. went 6 wins with a paladin deck that should have gone 10 wins. I got a Velen with my pack though, so I aint mad.
|
Last time I saw a Velen I ate a 10 damage Mind Blast in the face as follow up. Then I got really glad I'd kept a BGH in my hand for the last 4 turns.
|
Velen's a core part of one of the two main priest archetypes (Zetalot's Priest deck, as opposed to Amaz's which doesn't run Velen). I keep him in my deck for reasons. If you let Velen live for more than 1 turn, you've lost usually.

Usually rag is a more reliable finisher, but a legendary is a legendary

On August 12 2014 18:41 caelym wrote:Usually rag is a more reliable finisher, but a legendary is a legendary Rag+Velen are both fine in a priest deck, you can keep both like I do.

Is that recent? Last time I paid attention (eg. months ago) Velen was seen as meh, not necessarily bad but in no way in contention with Sylvanas/Ragnaros/Ysera/etc. especially because he doesn't have great stats for the cost and he doesn't do anything apart from drawing a removal unless he lives for more than a turn.
|
He's been an optional but very viable staple of priest decks for at least a few months now, ever since Handlocks were popular, since he gives Priest some very critical reach. Being able to burst 10 at turn 9, or 10+4 damage at turn 10 vs a Handlock (Mindblast+holy smite) is immensely potent, and the same goes in some other matchups. You can do the same with Holy fire+mindblast at turn 8, but holy fire may be used for other purposes, and besides, having a 7/7 body on the board is still great.
Rag can be useful as a finisher, but the RNG is at times rather annoying. Rag exerts a great deal of pressure, but given his nature, you need a clear board to really call him a "Finisher", and the opponent can theoretically play around him (forgetting all the times Rag has hit me in the face when I had a full Shaman board).
He's powerful because he's essentially an 8-mana 8/8 with a random immune charge. It's hard not to get value out of him unless he hits a paladin dude.
Also, no one plays Ysera anymore. WAY WAY WAY too slow.
The only big control deck that'll run Ysera nowadays is MAYBE a Ramp Druid. And that's not very likely, actually.
Similar to Cairne: he's slow value, but the current meta is pretty fast, what with hunters getting a new lease on life with some of the new Naxx cards (and boosted by the rise of Shaman/Warlock on ladder).
Common legendaries nowadays: Hunter: none outside Loatheb, maybe Leeroy (just assume Loatheb is in every deck currently, because he basically is) Priest: usually Velen and/or Rag, Sylvanas, and MAYBE one more legendary (Baron Geddon has been seeing some play, actually, but also Cairne). Warrior: Alexstraza, Grom, Ragnaros, occasionally Baron Geddon/Cairne Druid: Either Cenarius and maybe Leeroy (token), or Ragnaros, Black Knight, Sylvanas, maybe Cairne/Cenarius (Ramp) Mage: Alexstraza, Thalnos, maybe Antonidas; aggro burn mage may run Antonidas and rarely Leeroy Rogue: Leeroy, VanCleef, Thalnos (miracle), Leeroy/Mukkla (backspace/cancer rogue) Warlock: Zoo runs no legendaries, except maybe Leeroy; Handlock runs Leeroy, maybe Alex/Jaraxxus, the new Demon deck is still experimenting Paladin: Leeroy maybe Mukkla (Shockadin/aggro Paladin), Tirion/Ragnaros, Sylvanas occasionally (Control Paladin) Shaman: Al'akir, maybe Thalnos (Shamans are all the same at their core), deathrattle/reincarnate Shaman may also include Leeroy/Baron Rivendare/Cairne/Sylvanas (people are still experimenting)
Harrison Jones can also be fit into a number of midrange/control decks, if you're facing weapon classes often (particularly Shaman).

First Magic GP played. 5/4 in main event, I sucked hard and misplayed terribly one round.
Went 4/1 and 5/1 in side events so I really think I had a good shot at making Day 2 of the GP. I'll be back for the next Grand Prix though for sure. Anybody else from TL LoL planning to play in EU GPs this year ?
