I've had that weird thought before when I realize that one point, I'm going to die.
It's not that the thought disturbs me, but it's a bit of a surreal feeling. Also that everyone else has the same fate as I do.
It's interesting, because for how much we like to think our lives have significance, I feel that in the big picture, we are all grains of sand that are to be blown away. Our legacies, if you could call them that, are going to be meaningless in a few years. In the lifespan of the earth and the universe, humanity is nothing more than just a footnote in the history of existence.
Thoughts like these make me feel pretty insignificant haha.
