For 3DS games, flash carts do exist, however, they're incredibly expensive compared to NDS flash carts (you can get NDS flash carts for like $15 whereas most of the 3DS ones are ~$50 at least), and there's not a guarantee they'll remain compatible with 3DS firmware updates at least until the 3DS gets a little older and Nintendo stops caring. So no Bravely Default I guess? Meh. Thanks for the info. IIRC the 3DS architecture isn't broken so you can't really get roms of 3DS games so you're stuck with running DS games only. That being said, Bravely Default is worth just buying and picking up imo or at least get it second hand. Bravely Default also getting a sequel too! Hopefully they'll fix some of the story issues since the setting will be altered so mechanically speaking the story won't need to flow the way it did. Architecture only matters for creating emulators.

Its more that Nintendo has made software updates for the 3DS that made NDS flash carts non-functional (the cart basically has to trick the 3DS into thinking it's a legit game); for quite a while I think you had to deliberately not update your 3DS to keep your flash carts compatible. They stopped caring about doing this for NDS flash carts, since it's not really worth the effort at this point, but with the 3DS, I believe this is still the case (there have only been like 2 major software updates for the 3DS since the first 3DS flash cart was released though).
It's also that with NDS flash carts, they've been out long enough that people know which ones are good and which ones are a waste of your money. With 3DS ones, it's still kind of a wild west cuz there's a grand total of like <5 cards out there, and there's no guarantees on which ones aren't shitty hardware or will stop updating their card's firmware for Nintendo software updates.

Jesus. people do NOT like using an email address to submit things online. lol been trying to get my friends to help my roommate in a voting contest, guy was like 10 votes away and my friends refused to help because you needed to put in an email and confirm. didn't have to be a primary email either.
Oh well xD what has everyone else been doing besides these good world cup matches!

I pretended to be a dad today and took my dad and my ~1 yr old nephew to the zoo for Father's day(dads got in free!), while the women stayed at home making food(because that's where they belong, and stuff!).
Now, my intentions really were to just go to the zoo with my dad(and taking the kid off my sister's hands for a day, he loves animals so I knew there would be very little fuss) but it also ended up being my first experience using the mythical 'dude carrying a baby' tool to attracting women. That shit works so good it feels like cheating, at least in that atmosphere.

planning to spring for a new mouse and keyboard, you guys got any suggestions?

I like my Razer Orochi. But I'm also contemplating getting a new keyboard. I currently have a Saitek Eclipse II, and enjoy it, it's just getting old. Replacement not needed just yet, but maybe soon.
Also, Req, I'm back from my weekend away, you on Wildstar?

My youngest brother is 14 years younger than me. Can 100% confirm that he's still a chick magnet at 8 years old

Edit: oops those seem to be on backorder. Massdrop usually always has keyboards going but they're like $150 keyboards dropped down to the $110 price point so it might be out of budget range even though you get super swag value: https://www.massdrop.com/buy?cat=Mechanical Keyboards
For cheapo value I would look at anything CM Storm, Corsair, or Rosewill/Monoprice OEM. Razer is massively overpriced. Roccat is kind of overpriced. TTe is mid-range but I personally find their designs awful.
