Because this worked out so well in Fast Lane I like the mock draft I have faith that Classic might finally turn that losing streak against Maru around. Eventually... Is Classic is the kind of player to replicate the ridiculousness of Maru vs Dear though?

Is there something about SSL format that lends to cheese every game? We don't see this crap in GSL right? :D
|
Ok Maru thanks for disappointing again. Innovation with the 2-0 over alive, but apaprently it was only cheese? Well that's tvt i guess. Dear doing pretty well, that's nice. Innovation probably going to dominate the regular season, they should just seed him into the finals

I mean you basically have a week to come up with stuff, it is very similar to proleague though in proleague it was only a bo1. There also is the fact that you cannot be out of the tournament by simply losing one match. Though players should also understand that every match still matters a lot, it definitely can be the difference between playoffs, simply staying in the league or even having to play in fast lane.

Yes it was a lot of cheeses today, just like the season 1, a lot of money/map so, it's normal i guess
|
It was basically only cheese, and the games that weren't outright cheese had some other meme/gimmick going on.
|
And some players dont want to show their strategy before being released from code S i think

I feel like today's games are a great example of what sometimes makes it hard to stay a fan of SC2... Approaching glorified rock-paper-scissors.

Not really, for example , INno vs aLive wasnt rock paper scissors even if it was cheesy
aLive game one went for RFE even if the kr meta is really 2 proxy rax, and the map is good for this build, so it was a huge greed
Game 2 he spotted it was a 3rax reapers allin, he had the hard counter, took 2 reapers / 3 on the first fight, and then, a really bad decision making to send his reaper.
It's more aLive greed than "rock paper scissors" which was expressed here

Every game was cheese (with a couple quick timings).
-Inno vs aLive had Inno proxy rax both games -Dear vs Stats was proxies other than g3 which was a failed timing by Stats. -herO vs Dark g1 was a failed cheese by Dark, failed adept allin in g2, and g3 was a quick gold by herO folllowed by adept allin -Classic vs Maru g1 was double proxy robo (it's a real thing now I guess), and g2 was a proxy on both sides (factory vs stargate)
I didn't catch Solar vs ByuL but I heard it was cheesefest as well
I think it's the fact that the individual matches aren't make or break for the players compared to in GSL where they like to play safe. Most of them already have decent earnings this year as well, maybe if the WCS points were relevent in SSL they wouldn't be so reckless in their play.
