We'll see if any of the foreign hopes can get through the qualifiers.

i wonder if it'll ever become standard to have a standard rule agreement on things such as KR vs EU -> played on NA West/Central some day, or if it'll stay like this forever. I don't mind KR server qualis but it's weird to play in when it's neither server-adapted (allowing EU vs KR on NA) or hard region locked (KR passport/resident players only). but anyway love IEM and Korea, gonna give it a try ^.^

Don't really like your chances but I'm all for seeing you try. I see your point, set rules for cross server games should be a given. Although in this specific case, it is supposed to be a WCS Korea tournament (and I think they further restricted it for non-Koreans to players who have/had a visa or don't need a visa to go to Korea? I think it said something like that in the announcement) so it makes sense that they attempt to ensure optimal conditions for the players who primarily use the KR server.

Yeah it's a KR tournament, so KR qualifiers. Same thing for Olimoleague. As for the Visa thing, the only SCII-relevant countries without visa-free entry to Korea are China and Ukraine as far as I can tell.
