GSL is always such a treat and Tastosis are unbelievably great even after all those years. I just wish this goes on forever! forever is quite a strong word. imagine 70 year old artosis screaming "HE'S A LITERAL GOD TASTELESS OHHH MYYYY GOD" In a shirt, tie and shorts.

ByuN played really well and it demoralized sOs, didn't know it was even possible Absolutely, I had the same feeling. The deciding thing was hame 2 ... when sOs played a great game and was still behind a bit ... and after forgetting the colossus range ... that was it.

I mean in general i enjoy watching sc2, but pretty much every time i watch it live these days the games are mediocre at best. The proleague finals didn't have good games, this today didn't have one good game either. I really hope tomorrow is better, hard to keep passion when the games never deliver -.-

It's like the meta completely went to shit in less than 4 months.

Proleague games were absolutely atrocious indeed
Too bad tomorrows finals aren't a ZvT..

sOs made a lot of mistakes, from forgetting colossi range to suicide shade-ins not once, but twice.
And Byun's micro is just too damn good. It reminds me of Boxer in his prime.

The only thing that went to shit recently is the atmosphere in LR threads.

Hey, there was no Adept whining during the games
Glass half full!

In game 3 he also played great until the suicide-shade. After that he seemed broken and got horribly outplayed in g 4 and 5

But after it is done it should be allowed to say that it was extremely mediocre gameplay wise. I totally can understand that going into it you were hyped because of sOs' chance of making it to blizzcon, etc. But these games simply weren't good and i think this is a trend atm. Call it negativity, maybe it is (i mean i could just not menton it i guess) but i think it's a noticeable quality drop.

I normally root for the Protoss player (since always playing Protoss in Broodwar), but Byuns story, getting to a GSL final teamless was too compelling. Also, his gameplay is really cool to watch.
Great games by Byun and he played well enough that he really got under SoS's skin, pressuring him until he broke and did mistakes in nearly every game. Also, Byun exploited those mistakes to the max.
I think the games were very fitting for a GSL final.
In short: Gratz Byun, that was so well deserved!

Just cause a fan favourite won, that doesn't mean the finals was good.

Classic vs Dark was one of the best pvz series in sc2. Dear vs byun was also extremely high quality .

Reading through the thread now, I'm really glad I wasn't participating while watching as it would have made it much less fun. I really enjoyed the finals and this thread is just full of negativity.

But recently we had a lot of mediocre days for Korean SC2, understandable that people would get disappointed.
Granted, not every series can be Dark vs Classic, but it would be nice if more of them came close.
