I don't want to shit on foreigners because it's not their fault the system is what it is but it's very satisfying to see this results after all the circle-jerking about how good foreigners are this year, that nerchio is the best or 2nd best zerg in the world etc.

I don't think anyone knew how good foreigners really were now WCS has been so heavily region locked. I guess if we never play against Koreans how are our players supposed to get as good as them :/ This was just a sign that the foreign skill is still lagging so far behind.

Promising performances though, epsecially Neeb! I think with better decision making he wins that Polt series easily, and that's somethig he can only improve on with time.
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

The circle jerk on Reddit is ridiculous. I got downvoted to oblivion for calling them out on it. I don't deny that Nerchio and Neeb are playing better than they have in previous years, but I'm still not convinced that foreigners have actually gotten better this year. It's pretty easy to be disillusioned when the only players foreigners play against are other foreigners or Korean drop outs.

ZvT is the weakest matchup but if they can go toe to toe with TY, Cure, and Byun, then they can crush any foreigner

We'll see how good Stephano is at WESG. He's already basically qualified for the global Finals.

I agree. True is no where near Zest, Dark, TY, Stats, Maru, Classic, Solar and Dear (the likely 8 Koreans at Blizzcon). And he roasts every non korean hope (15-2 win!!)

Calling Maru likely at this point is... optimistic to say the least. You realize Patience is far more likely to make Blizzcon?

Random online tourneys are not indicitve of huge contests like Blizzcon. Byun just took out the best Zerg in the world (Dark) and freaking sOs. I don't think any foreign player does that (hell I don't think many Koreans do that)

It shows the difference when players know who they're up against and can prepare and study, online contests are pretty much like laddering for the players, especially if they're best of 1s. I mean Innovation just won the last Totalbuscuit online tourney with 8 map wins, and he's done bad in every single Korean League this year.

Gotta have faith in the kid, I hope either him or sOs will win the GSL this season (what with Zest, Stats, and Dark already out).

How can Dark be the best zerg in the world if he can't even win all of his ZvT :s.
