No, he is not qualified. He would need to beat Polt. Otherwise, he is not qualified. Then who are the 8 players who get invited? The rules say that the top 8 players in WCS rankings as of April 11 get invited (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2016_WCS_Spring_Circuit_Championship). Hydra and Polt are both on that list. The DH announcement only says that 8 players from the standings get invited, not necessarily the top 8. I could be the Top 8 not-yet qualified WCS players or the Top 8 period. Whether it's top 8 not yet qualified, or top 8 period, Polt and Hydra are still both on that list, no? Yes, Polt and Hydra will for sure get to the WCS Spring. puCK will not if he loses to Polt.

Relevant sections 8 invites from 2016 WCS Standings as of April 11 8 Players from regionals 14 Players from NA/EU server qualifiers taking place weekend of April 22 (I have no idea what these are, I thought this tournament was the server qualifiers) And of course the National Qualifier for French players.
Since it says 8 invites and not top 8 I would think that the 8 invited players are going to be the 8 highest ranked players that are not already qualified.
Not sure if that helps at all.

crap I missed pretty much all of tonight. missed glorious americans

Oh I see. Polt and Hydra are fine, but puCK has to win or else he won't qualify. Ugh, poor puck.
Thanks for the explanation, fam.

puCK's blink stalker/disruptor centric play matches up very poorly against Polt's playstyle. I'm not too convinced about disruptors in PvT in general, but especially against Polt...

it's a little weird that Polt still has his account named "CMStormPolt" considering they stopped sponsoring him a while ago now.

Polt's macro is breaking my heart

Puck's disruptor use isn't the best. It's probably nerves, but many of his shots are launched way too prematurely and some almost even friendly fire.

Watching Siege Tanks flying around makes me so mad.

Good foresight from Polt. He would never have been able to land the orbital without the raven.

Pluck takes game 3. gg by him.
Now kill him Polt.

I'd like puCK's position if he wasn't going for disruptors.

puCK messed up his control there. He could have closed it out.
edit: Polt's resilience is commendable. He's been on half the worker count for the last 5 minutes.
