I understand that Nerchio barely lost so the.statement can still hold true, but Bly lost 3-0 and in the posts I read he was apparently dominated hard by Showtime, why is that? I wanted to see some domimance after such hype :/.

My guess is that Bly played a lot of ladder games and has been studied well by ShowTiMe who was no pushover already, but still, I'm a bit disappointed by the results of this Dreamhack. FireCake played some smash melee so I hope he'll beat whoever foreign player he meets.

Believe a Football-Commentator would make jokes about the shoes of that guy over a minute, while a goal happens. In SC II this happens and it sucks. No Problem with talking in times where nothing happens, but these are almost gone in LotV and Casters did not adept a single bit to the new times where casting has to be on point the whole game long.

I'm inviting you to check to VoD and check their games you'll see its not that amazing, its just that their opponents were worse.

HSC might be the only tournament where I accept it as the whole production is literally 3 dudes sit on a couch, 32 dudes play poker, Looping Luie or drink beer downstairs while some games are going on. But Dreamhack should show some professionality, same goes for alot of other tournaments. But it seems that all Casters in SC II must show their "personality" as much as possible instead of just... doing a good casting job.

Well to be fair in most of the SC2 games we can see the general direction of a game at preaty much any time pass the early stage. One single battle won't change the game drastically most of the time unless there is an amazing engagement or one player make a big mistake, while in football well only goal matter the rest is not important for the outcome of the game. There is the same type of commentary in Americain football or in Basketball, they will often not realy talk about was is going on on the field and talk about other things. Altough I agree that some SC2 caster do it a lot, and it would be nice if they try to talk about the game more, even if it is more "basic" things like the build, the tought process behind certain tactiks, the timming that the player is trying to hit... All foreigner Lan caster outside of Apolo and Kaelaris are GM and know the game on the tip of their finger, but I feel like a lot of the time they take for granted that everybody is gonna see things that are obvious for them.
