There have been plenty of casters that didn't know that much about high level strategy but they casted anyway because their personality added to the production. Surely the casuals are the ones who weren't part of the scene since WoL and didn't watch hour-long content 5 days a week since 2011 of SC2 strategy analysis. Day9 is mostly annoying and his casting consists of looking for a tautology to state while meanwhile trying to fill the downtime with some bullshit regarding made up player profiles and mindgames and etc. he's Tasteless that doesn't admit being Tasteless To be clear, is your objection to Day[9] being there today? Or did you always hate Day[9] casts, even back when he was active in the scene? Because back then I didn't see a whole lot of Day[9] hate in LR threads. Right now most reactions to Day[9] in this thread are either 1) wtf is he lost did he miss the Hearthstone stage lol, or 2) lol Day[9]'s fat now. To be honest, that seems to me like people just getting petty because they're mad he left.
Same vibe I get. I enjoy him so I'm just happy to see him back for the event.
