Ultras into lose. Shoulda just gone straight to Brood Lords I guess

He can't really play Ultras without creep, mass Queens, Infestors and Vipers. He only had Vipers and the rest of supply were Lings and Hydralisks that get shredded by that Protoss army.

Overall nice game, but IA had some bad engagements and bad engagement with Ultralisks is pretty much lost game.

Also he was way behind on upgrades I believe.

Don't waste your time watching foreign wcs. Just watch proleague/korean starcraft. It's pretty awesome.

Foreign starcraft is more about getting drunk and having a laugh

Ah, then it's probably good that I'm watching Take stream it. So much more laughs and laid back stuff than official stream. But that's sad actually, SC2 being Korean only again. Last big tournament I looked up on liquipedia was all Koreans from Ro16 or Ro32 on. Then again, did they finally cap the number of Koreans in WCS? Or shouldn't there be more in group stage?

There is a region lock for koreans (koreans can't play in non-korean events without a visa).

The level of Korean starcraft is very very high atm (way above, even a year ago)

There are also 2 individual leagues in Korea atm. GSL, SSL (run by spotv) and proleague obviously.

Heh, so they finally decided in favour of the countries/players instead of the level of play. Hope it did some good in the popularity/viewer numbers.

But anyway, Harstem fighting for the win!

At least in Korean, sc2 is at its most popular peak in terms of viewership. Outside of Korea its not in its best state though.

He's on iG's academy, maybe he got promoted and I don't know, because he's still in school. IDK how the chinese schooling system works but I doubt he'll play in proleague. At least this round, I'm pretty sure only Jim/XY/Macsed were put on the official roster

Tbh, my issue with Moonglade is that his voice sounds... I dunno, how do I say that? It sounds weird. Especially when talking about how attractive he finds Zest or the like, his voice just sounds... weird. I like him tho.

I think the complete opposite. I love listening to moonglade, I'm starting to warm up to kane but I foundsomething weird about his voice too.

wtf does "find his voice weird mean?"

Do we really live in an age where top gm zergs can't get a gig because their voice is weird. lol... they're both native English speakers.

Having a good voice is almost the n°1 thing to be a caster lol

100% disagree, though I guess the majority of the player base are total scrubs. You would think even silver and gold players could appreciate someone who actually knows the game. Who cares what they look or sound like? Have we ever had a caster that sounded so bad?

People just need to get out of their shell and experience accents from different parts of the world.

lol. I'm casting and I can tell you that it's the most important thing. People listening for something else than being entertained are such a minority (that you'll find on TL yeah) that you can say bullshit most of the time and get away with it. Just like in mainstreamed TV sports.

What you're saying and what you sound like when you're saying it are two different things. No doubt, one needs to speak eloquently to be a caster. Unless you have a speech impediment, I don't see the problem.

you don't have to be eloquent, basic english/whatever language is enough as long as you can engage people into the cast. And you need to have a good voice for it.

So you can be retarded as long as your voice is good, right.

well catspajamas was a good sc2 caster. He's not retarded but wasn't exactly knowledgeable about the game. Like TB when he began. Or tasteless these days.

Everyone improved, only Tasteless gets worse. Sad.

With two leagues in Korea to compensate we at least get to see more of the high level play.

And a likely all Korean blizzcon. Separating WCS like this gave the illusion that it was "favoring" the inclusion of foreigners but still in the end becomes all about results/skill (aka Koreans)

There's no time for play by play in Tastosis GSL casts though because they always talk about random shit.

Definitely. When it was first announced I remember going into detail about why this is actually worse for foreigners because so many people thought the opposite.

With two leagues in Korea to compensate we at least get to see more of the high level play.

And a likely all Korean blizzcon. Separating WCS like this gave the illusion that it was "favoring" the inclusion of foreigners but still in the end becomes all about results/skill (aka Koreans)

I imagine foreigners aren't doing much in finals etc... pity. So strange to see the Korean work ethic prevail yet again.

Been watching a lot of BW lately, tuning in to Harstem because he's from around here. What is SC2 about these days? Still death balls and voidrays? -^ But seriously, why is Harstem in a corner awaiting a lot of hydras?

Just think of sc2 moving in the way of broodwar. That's pretty much what is happening.
