Fun fact, as I used to do fraud prevention, those emails are designed to target the people who are just dumb enough. They fully expect that people above a certain cut will dismiss them. That being said Nigerians are really, really not great at credit card fraud. Eastern Europe and South East Asia are much better.

I remember seeing somewhere how over 40% of health insurance fraud in the US is committed by Cubans who make up 1% of the population. Blew my mind.
