Just a reminder that I'm a bit rusty from not casting so much recently. I play zerg, not protoss, not terran. I'm gonna try and put a good chunk of emotion into today's cast.
GG, I'm pretty sure Jaedong is expecting cannon rushes from every chinese Protoss he Has to face at this point. I hope Jim still goes far in the lower bracket.

That number on Douyu is kind of exaggerated The real number should be much smaller, like 1/5 - 1/10 of the number shown. For comparison, the Chinese GSL stream which on YY averagely has 5~6k viewers But yes, the number of viewers is growing

How come?
I don't know maybe it is some technical difficulties to count the viewers watching so the server only count the number of times people entering the channel, so the number growing much higher as the stream goes on for hours or maybe it is just Douyu does this on purpose trying to boost their website It is not just Douyu though. Numbers on other live broadcasting websites like Fengyu and 17173 are far from truth as well. Only the number on YY seems legit since it keeps track of viewers ip address.

The blink onto the 4 firebears by like 5 stalkers, i was like wow bro wtf you doing. He was trying to force an engagement vs a Terran who had vikings and a bigger army vs his pure stalker colli. So silly TT

The caster doesn't appear to be that popular. That seems to matter for a lot of people. Personally I don't get it. Its fucking maru vs parting. Thats enough for me.

Funnily enough that has happened to portoss players that played maru more than once. I think with a game vs herO? on frost. He lost colossus to proxy turrets.
Maru played a really cool style but he could have played it better. He sent a bio hit squad around towards the third but instead of killing the exposed mineral line he ran them into the natural from the other side by themselves to get slaughtered by the colossus

Power of F2
It was weird because they went in alone though it wasn't even like his whole army went in at the same time

Yeah, Maru does that alot. I remember a few times when he tries to scout for proxies you used to see his marine that is scouting change direction all the time. Maru likes that F2 button :3
Really cool game. Maru played a neat style with some mixed control here and there - some of it was really good (his pickup during the WM drop), some of it was really bad (missing the third harass). Overall I think he's about as good as he was during WCS Season 2, except a bit less consistent across the board. Still an incredible win, and I hope to see more games between these two!

Yeah i was confused at this too. Overgrowth - Died to eventual blink all in after proxy opener Merry Go Round - Won when PartinG blinked stalkers onto firebears #facepalm King Sejong - Won with lots of pressure
Or am i missing a game? The drop harass game was Merry Go Round too right?

All the series after round one are Bo3 as it says in the OP. During game 2 Breaker accidently set the score to 1-0 for Maru instead of for Parting, then corrected it by setting it to 1-1. After game to he updated to 1-2.
He even asked Edison during the overgrowth game if it was Bo5 or Bo3 and Edison responded with Bo3

Yeah but sadly he dropped out :/. No idea why.
Confirmed a few pages back he dropped out due to being sick. He said he feels a cold coming and is going to rest. Im guessing rightly so i add, he is dropping out of this to make sure he is in tip top shape for Blizzcon.

Thanks, I missed that. Smart from him to rest then, let's hope he gets better soon.

He has been doing well in these cups beating some good players. I expect some big things from him on MVP next season.

I know. However, losira is winning the majority of the time. In maps in the leifeng cup vs losira, gumiho is 5-13.

Honestly it's an online event where these players get to play organized sets against other top players. It's a nice break from the typical practice routine, and is awesome prep for tournaments. The fact that there is the possibility of getting a little bit of extra money out of it is just icing on the cake imo

Apologies, but this cup will have no VoDs released, nor will there be any replay packs released, this is meant to protect the strategies of the players involved in the cup. I think it is also one of the only ways that we could get many of these players to agree to compete in this tournament.
Apologies to all the fans, but at the same time the wants and needs of the players in this tournament should be protected.

Protecting players strategies from what? Korean ladder? lol man if there was a team looking to counter one-time-builds they just could rec the stream on their PCs...A thing that even a kid can do.
You could PM the idiot who had the idea and say to him that his move just fucked people who wanted to watch the tourney.
