Seriously. There is no micro at all. I've always found his tvz micro to be rather lackluster for a Korean Terran stretching back to WoL He's never been THAT bad Idk can't say cause I'm not able to watch but his splitting vs banes is typically poor for someone on his level. It sounds like it was completely absent this time though he literally ran into them.

Everyone goes full "America holds!' and then the ro16 rolls around and suddenly there's only Koreans left and everyone goes "Wait i thought foreigners had improved."

Online series are more prone to upsets regardless of what server they're playing on. NA vs NA, EU vs KR, KR vs NA. KR vs KR. It's just how the game works, LAN Tournament > Online Tournament > Ladder > Practice Game. Beating someone at a LAN is how you prove you're better than someone :D

Roach warren on the way for Check. Check gets into the main base of Ian and kills a bunch of zerglings and a drone. 7:00 Lair for Check. Check getting 22 workers. Ian getting his third. Ian has seen the third base for a while. Roach speed for Ian. 8:00 Zerglings cancel Ian's third base. Roaches for both players. +1/1 for Ian, just +1 ranged for Check. Ian rebuilding his third base. 9:00 Ian is protecting his third with a bunch of roaches. +2/2 for Ian. Spore crawler from the beginning of the game kills an overseer. 10:00 Check going for the third but there are too many roaches so far. Beating someone at a LAN is how you prove you're better than someone :D Agreed, which is why i think the format of 1 single online bo5 to basically determine if you have any shot at decent earnings for the year, let alone a chance at Blizzcon is pretty harsh. But again, people who supported a region lock are probably happy about this and I'm not sure if my opinion is the majority or not haha

Ian loses some overlords near the center. Check charges into the third. Ian GG's! Check takes a 1-0 lead!
