+2 attack is better since 1 attack upgrade means you do 2 more damage, while 1 armor upgrade just reduces 1 damage

I don't think, that is the reason. As much as I like trash talking Flash against annoying KT fans, he is still better than some of the people Armani lost to in online cups lately (Basior, EroSennin for example). I'd just assume Armani is heavily affected by his daily form.
