America only seems to like sports we're good at. I wonder how we would do in the theoretical world championships for driving a car around in a circle 500 times. I would think there would be some serious volatility in results for that event.

It depends on the size of the circle and the specifications allowed in the car. Also, what's American? Does a Hyundai team count as American, if it's build in Alabama? What about a Ford built in Canada?

America only seems to like sports we're good at. if you want to know a big part of it I'm actually taking a history of sports in america class as an elective because I needed one and I like sports. What happened was Civil War era USA was mad about the Confederacy getting more European support so there was a major push to play "American" sports instead of "European" sports to be more patriotic (particularly baseball and soon after American football as well). Basketball was invented later by the YMCA to give boys something to do in the Winter so they wouldn't give into nonChristian urges. Then if you look a lot of American sports were adapted over time to allow more higher scoring so soccer doesn't really fit in as well.
I think the NASCAR thing is because NASCAR races are one huge party and it's a really easy sport to follow while drunk and you might see crashes. but this is getting kind of off topic

I love Ryung's tactical splitting and attacking, but I'm even more impressed by Caliber's ability to deal with it so well!

Fairly interesting history in the evolution of sports in America.

Well if people would stop being little bitches all the time then maybe they'd earn the respect you seem to be asking for by default. Want to be respected? Show some respect to the people that work in this scene and keep it alive and quit shitting on casters for no good reason.

Does that mean that you can tell me why Roque was so popular, and why it declined?

If you cast a ton of games and learn the meta through spectating you can have just as good game knowledge as someone who learns through playing. Just saying. Also people just throw around caster critiques for the most random things sometimes in threads like this which is kind of annoying. The caster bashing he was upset about today was kind of a dumb thing as well. Either way all I was saying is I don't like when he gets mad at the whole LR and posts some kinda offensive stuff in here when people get him upset D:
