I prefered playing battle for middle earth 1&2. Well I didnt discover e-sports for a while because of that choice^^

I think they have more time to micro. Casters are saying they're just making 1 unit per minute.

Because controlling 10 units with spells is different from controlling 80 while also macro'ing behind. All together you have a way bigger field, way more things to pay attention to but the fights are more important because smaller unit count etc.
