Hahaha what?! They want to broadcast the China qualifiers on January 14th?!! They happened a few days ago! They want to broadcast replays where the results have been known for over a fortnight! Good grief, it's a farce.

Well, that was a shame that they couldn't broadcast live, but that's part of the issue. It's better to broadcast in English late than never, but at the same time the results being known already deflates the hype.

On the other hand, if they had tried to hide the results, people would also not be happy about it.

If they had let the community cast them it would've been fine. The problem occurs when they become greedy money grabbing fuckwits and try and hide everything to themselves.

Mr Bitter responded on twitter:

If they don't have the time or staff to carry out their obligations as per contract to host WCS AM, then they're obviously not suited to host it.

With all this (justified) rage over the AM qualifers, let´s focus on the good things in life: GoOdy killing 35 drones and Snute´s mutalisks achieving nothing. The general has a lead.

Why can't they let other people do it like ESL are doing today.

this isn't how business works. you don't give up the rights to your resources and brands just for the sake of "someone doing it." i agree that it would be nice, but it's in no way realistic to expect that of anyone. don't act like it reflects badly on one organization for doing what every organization in any field does

While I agree and also ESL is running more games than anybody and still gets things done, we should not focus on a single qualifier and see how they handle the others. I'm sure they told Blizz about this and the rest will be great.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Yeah, there's plenty of community casters in the NA scene that would be happy to cast the games.

I think it's more important that they would lose something negligible and we as fans would gain something. That's the important thing here, not that businesses do stuff. Businesses do a lot of bad things.

They won't lose anythign by letting other people cast it. If anything, it gives more exposure and excitment to the WCS AM tournament.
