So I've always wondered, do all esports have this ridiculously long waiting time between matches, or is it just SC2?

Husky is a terrible caster; he just yells what he sees happening on the screen. Okay he's a play by play caster but he should still know what's going on strategy wise, right?

he knows enough to accurately describe events. if he's with a good analyst he's a great caster, especially because he always asks questions when he's partnered with someone who knows more than him

he's entertaining, casting is entertainment

I just find him aggravating and obnoxious, not in the least bit entertaining. TB is pretty much the only play by play guy who can be entertaining without having a very deep technical understanding of the game. Screaming youtube casters, ugh.

To be fair, Laszx might find lectures very entertaining in his casting.

Man, that was like a build order counter by Heart. He knew something was up, he had production, tech, bunkers, etc. He even had vision over his bases. It should have been an easy win.

Then he let two nyduses finish inside his base, both times when he had vision. Hell, the nyduses were literally next to the supply depot and the SCVs. Lord have mercy

most esports do, it's gotten better since the MLG 6 hour waits between games though

missed first game, second game was kinda sloppy by heart. The nydus strat of one out the front of the base to distract so you can get one in the main is quite old fashioned, but builds that haven't been used in 6 months can be very strong once they fall out of a persons mind.

I don't like how he didn't have scvs around his natural bunker or how he didn't pull a whole lot to tank the roaches in the main. I guess considering he hasn't got a quick 3rd he's really not eager to throw scv's away without the cushion of mules but with good drop harass and vikings to pluck overlords he could probably play a longer game anyway.

Hoping taeja brings something interesting and good. Excite!

to each his own, i find totalbiscuit aggravating and obnoxious. "youtube caster" seems like selling short someone who has created as much interest in the game as husky has

SC2 just doesn't have a very good way to fill up the time. For example, if you were to watch traditional sports, they would monetize the downtime by filling it up with advertisements. It keeps something dynamic on the screen, and is a source of revenue.

It's a shame that WCS doesn't do more of this.

Gowser was just completely wrong when he said that Heart was in a better position after he managed to hold off the roaches in the main base. Heart was completely crippled with his economy in the toilet and almost no army to speak of. He was as dead as can be. Drones doubled SCVs.

Fighting games have really short down time. Dota 2 seems to have really long wait though (compounded by the ~7 min draft) and ppl always pause at the start so its pretty bad.

I was wondering about that, Gowswer DID see all the dead SCVs right?
