Observer snipes are as old as BW, but became rather easy in WoL. Thats why Protoss got the Oracle, its detection range is so insane, that nothing can ever snipe it.
I miss the Observer sight range upgrade from BW as well though. But you either get an Oracle or use a ton of Cannons against lategame terran.

1) they get feedbacked
2) you can put down pdds, that only delays the push, sooner or later you run out of energy
3) you cant push with pdds because you can't get the ravens close enough without getting shot by cannons

I think one of the issues with Rain that game was that almost all of his HTs were at the 3rd and they got picked off so quick. 2 or 3 with the main army would have made them much harder to snipe.

You should watch those players meet though, those games are so high level you won't even see a fight before it ends.

Well, they basically lost the two finalists teams from last PL. Soul has left the Kespa fold, and Woongjin appears to be effectively turned into a personal sponsorship for Soulkey and sOs. Flash hasn't lived up to expectations, SKT's Protosses haven't been as dominant as usually lately, and CJ, Khan and Jinair have been quiet.

the thing is, Rain never got much chance to remake another obs, he needed more colossus as he was preparing to add colossus into his composition.
it was either colossus/obs for him and that obs snipe was too crucial and just not enough time for rain to get another obs anyway
