lichter's notes: I am currently writing a FAQ for LR threads, to be included at the bottom of each LR. Mostly I want it to address questions regarding LR threads, as well as questions about becoming LR OPs. Please look through the FAQ and PM me with ideas to improve it. TY!
Volunteer! All you have to do is check if there's already a thread for the tournament, or if anyone is scheduled to make the thread. If there isn't a thread and no one is scheduled to do it, you can become the LR OP! We are always looking for new people to help out, especially for WCS AM and EU.
Being the LR thread OP is hard work, but it's also fulfilling. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people check the LR thread every day, and it is a valuable resource to the community. It's a simple way of supporting SC2, the game we all presumably love :p
Now that I've decided to be a LR OP, what do I do? + Show Spoiler +
Next, read up a little on bbcode and familiarize yourself with it. It helps to look at the code for previous LR OPs.
Finally, check your schedule. Are you SURE you'll be around for the duration of the tournament? Are you sure you'll be able to update in a timely manner?
If everything checks out and you've done all of the above, all you have to do is make the thread!
Where can I find previous LR OPs, as well as LR resources? + Show Spoiler +
LRing is tough work, and only a handful of people do it regularly. The most famous ones are Shellshock and The_Templar, but occasionally other people (such as packrat, Yello, etc) do it as well. If no one is available to do it, then there is no LR. Again, we need more volunteers. Anyone who watches games regularly and types really, really fast has qualifications to become an LRer.
All you have to do is write out what happens during the game. It doesn't need to be complete, but it should be a good summary of the entire game. Supply counts, timings, build orders, and major events are typically what receive priority in LRs. You can read more LRs by Shellshock and The_Templar for a better idea of how to do it.
Can I submit a new banner, player photos, or other images? + Show Spoiler +
Yes! We encourage creativity in LR threads, so if you want to submit some fancy stuff and replace the premade ones, go right ahead.
Who do I contact if I have questions about LR threads? + Show Spoiler +
Lol that spiraled out of control quickly mr YoungJoo Guessing being out mined 600 minerals per minute didn't help the cause when your behind either XD Wp Curious

I ask myself the same thing and come to the conclusion that either being in eSF has no advantage whatsoever or they're joining kespa anyway.
INTERNET SPECULATION WARNING.
Perhaps because with Kespa they've got a better chance at financial stability? Either hoping to get funded by Kespa for a while, or Kespa's contacts might be better in acquiring sponsors? Then selling the LoL team makes sense as well, all in trying to survive.

that would go under " join kespa anyway "
some people assume without LoL teams they won't join kespa
I somehow got the impression that Kespa teams nowadays are almost required to have LoL squads, considering that they were even shrinking their SC2 squads in favor of their LoL squads. So, if MVP are joining Kespa, they might need a LoL team still, so I don't know..
not necessarily that they wouldn't join kespa without the lol teams, but that if they actually wanted to join kespa the lol teams would be the way in. and certainly the way to attract sponsors.

woongjin still doesn't have one, for now.
are we the only ones left?
since STX died and T8 became Jin Air who picked up two teams, yeah I think so.

Technically IM MVP and Prime aren't in Kespa or eSF right now I think. Prime said they wanted to check out Kespa to see if they could get a sponsor or something. I don't know how that will work since it took ages for T8 to find a sponsor though.
Right now they're just invisible teams not playing in any teamleagues, It's pretty weird.

Well, Korea is a bit further away than Poland. Even if Life was back in Korea he might be jetlagged as hell or super exhausted anyway

Jetlagged is unlikely, at least whenever I travel to east asia, I tend to be incredibly tired in the morning (since that is in the middle of the night in Europe) and incredibly awake in the evening (that would be afternoon in Europe). And it is currently early evening in Korea. But yeah, he's probably not in the best shape to perform right now.

Bet Zerg hate bumping into Trap on ladder, jeez. Want to see more of that PvZ! So nice to watch nice strats paying off XD
Not much Curious could of done differently there either? Apart from getting hydra i guess but he would of needed alot of them to stand a chance, and with +3 weapons his ground army was as good as the air!

Too many drones and i feel like spire in general was a bad idea. I could see hydra infestor working out way better. Trap didn't even have a robo iirc

I thought that too, didn't think you could play so defensively vs 'toss anymore due to them just getting to "that point" in the game and going ham on everything terran has.
Very late starport going cost him if Trap his a colli timing
Or Trap is going to get ALL the tech from 2 base xD

Trap making a good show off himself. Solid PvT and amazing PvZ...this season could be his season in WCS!! Has a group of 2Ps and a T, could see him get to RO8!
Lol Life, so thats 3-1 Trap, and then he will probs get a PvP to finish off his all kill

Considering how badly that attack was crushed even with the SCVs, Bomber was screwed no matter what if he engaged that protoss army head on. It wasn't the SCVs but missing the timing before storm that killed him, and that was razor thin and a way bigger deal than the commentators let on.
Terran has to kill protoss before big macro kicks in unless he clearly outclasses the protoss. It sucks, but it's the way TvP is right now.

Recently I don't really get to see a lot of TvP macro games to say whether terrans have a chance to win in a macro game. Players of the class of Bomber should at least try a little bit more, or watch Taeja's games...

I would assume that player who practice 8-10 hours a day have played every style and what we see in their competitive games is the conclusion they have drawn from their practice.

I don't know, sometimes pro-gamers are just randomly inflexible and unwilling to change (Fruitland is like the ultimate showcase of pro-gamers unwilling to do something out of the ordinary!), or they simply lack the missing piece of the puzzle. People will claim something is impossible, until one guy some day whips out a change and everyone follows suit.

One of these days, casters will learn to -shut the fuck up- about a game being over until it's over. Instead of hyping a potential hold, they destroy all the energy of the game.

not as disappointing as the awful game against MMA but still not up to Dear's normal skill level. should never have moved his sentries away from the wall ;x
9.11.01 could have been predicted to have taken place back in the early 1990's. If anyone is old enough to remember the hijackings of planes in the Middle East during the 1980's you can see where I am going with this.
The administration at that time did not properly ensure that more plane hijackings would take place such as placing armed guards on flights in and out of the Middle East.
As a result the terrorists were able to hijack more than one plane to learn the basics of how the flight was operated during such an attack so that after the kettle had stopped boiling and life returned to normal and everyone forgot about the hijackings the terrorists could simply get some basic flying instructions and then take over the planes like they did to then fly the planes into the WTC.
One has to wonder if the above security vulnerabilities were in fact brought to the attention of the leadership of America during those times and merely swept under the rug by the administration who wanted to believe that just because they believed such an attack would never happen that such an attack would never in fact take place.
Would such people actually take the side of absolutely believing in such nonsense and not take precautions? It seems they did as 9.11.01 did in fact happen because precautions were not taken during the 80's when Middle Eastern terrorists first started hijacking airplanes.

does anyone know why this GSTL season has such a crazy mappool? was GOM afraid that nobody would care about a season with only five teams otherwise?
is it me or do the kespa teams always seem to have quite a few fangirls in comparison to typical sc2 players on other teams? safe to assume that some of the dedicated fanbase carried on from brood war?
Feels like Hyvaa is the sort of player who can play well mechanically but uses cheese VERY judiciously because it just makes him unpredictable as hell. Fun to watch, but it must feel like a nightmare playing against him.

Oh I definitely think they do. Even established sc2 players pre-Kespa transition don't seem to get much support, whereas someone like Bbyong (which is strange to me) has his share of girl cheers from what I remember.

Soul disappoints again D: Better than against Acer where Dear and Trap failed miserably against MMA but they both need to start playing at their usual skill level to get wins ;x

If they lose to FXO it will be really D:
They lost 5 members of their team and their sponsor, and then they dissappoint you when they go 3-4 against Startale? :s You got some crazy expactations then. You'll probably be dissappointed often if you think Soul is actually gonna win a game series.

I understand the situation their team is in but both Trap and Dear are insanely good and hyvaa is capable of beating anyone in a bo1. So yes I expect them to do better with those three leading them.
That said, I'm not disappointed that they are losing these matches or expecting them to win any (except against FXO) but more disappointed Trap and Dear haven't shown their usual skill level. Trap did redeem himself by playing well tonight, so if Dear can pull himself together they are capable of winning a few matches. Hopefully they will have stabilized some come round 2 and we'll see them perform even better.

I agree with you overall. By the way, I couldn't watch most of the series but was Last present ? Last can be really good too.

I so regret choosing him over inno D: I was like, "nah inno too expensive, I'll choose bomber"
mistakes were made.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Like... Bomber looks a little better all around. I could see Inno losing to Terran snipes. TOO BAD ALL KILLS vs 1 point
