Volunteer! All you have to do is check if there's already a thread for the tournament, or if anyone is scheduled to make the thread. If there isn't a thread and no one is scheduled to do it, you can become the LR OP! We are always looking for new people to help out, especially for WCS AM and EU.
Being the LR thread OP is hard work, but it's also fulfilling. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people check the LR thread every day, and it is a valuable resource to the community. It's a simple way of supporting SC2, the game we all presumably love :p
Now that I've decided to be a LR OP, what do I do? + Show Spoiler +
Next, read up a little on bbcode and familiarize yourself with it. It helps to look at the code for previous LR OPs.
Finally, check your schedule. Are you SURE you'll be around for the duration of the tournament? Are you sure you'll be able to update in a timely manner?
If everything checks out and you've done all of the above, all you have to do is make the thread!
Where can I find previous LR OPs, as well as LR resources? + Show Spoiler +
LRing is tough work, and only a handful of people do it regularly. The most famous ones are Shellshock and The_Templar, but occasionally other people (such as packrat, Yello, etc) do it as well. If no one is available to do it, then there is no LR. Again, we need more volunteers. Anyone who watches games regularly and types really, really fast has qualifications to become an LRer.
All you have to do is write out what happens during the game. It doesn't need to be complete, but it should be a good summary of the entire game. Supply counts, timings, build orders, and major events are typically what receive priority in LRs. You can read more LRs by Shellshock and The_Templar for a better idea of how to do it.

MMA is playing much better lately. Would be surprised to see him not get out of this group. I guess I'd like to see TAiLS advance but I'm not entirely sure he'll be able to.

I like apollo but I think he has been a bit overexposed lately. You get tired of anyones voice if your hear them to much. Wish Tod would step in once in a while or anyone rly.

Krass started well, did some good jobs, which BabyKnight defended very poorly. BabyKnight got some colossi, Krass attacked trying to kill BabyKnight's third and lost his whole army so he gg'd knowing he would die to the counter-attack.
This game... I feel KrasS just lack confidence. His strategy worked, and he was in favor. He would win the battle if he can put vikings on the right position.

KrasS opened with reapers, BabyKnight attempted a pressure. They both took damage. It went for a macro game. BK attacked on 2 bases with colossuses, with a delayed third. KrasS thought it was an all-in so he evacuated from his natural. However, he forgot the Orbital and BK destroyed it. Game has normallized... Around 18:00, large engagement from BK on KrasS's third. No vikings. GG from KrasS, BK advances to Winner's match !

I think MMA is the prohibitive favorite to win WCS EU this season after watching DH last weekend. But maybe I'm crazy.
If MMA somehow maintains the same level of play that he managed at Dreamhack, or does even better (!) than that, it's hard to imagine that he won't make it at least to the semi-finals.

Man that was stressful, with the unscouted 3rd, scv pull, and babyknight comeback, followed by the switching of names near the end. But it made for a great game.

To be honest, Terran vs. Protoss has not been seen as a great matchup for awhile.
A months ago out of my own self interest, I went through the thread made in March 2013 showing "top games of 2012" which included 7 games from 2013, 2 honorable mentions, and 40 games from 2012. A whopping 22 of the top games were TvZ, well higher than any other matchup. (TvT-6, TvP-5, PvZ-7, PvP-2, ZvZ-6). So I think "Terran match ups" are seen as the best because of the high volume of epic games involving Terran, but Terran v. Protoss has lagged.

MMA opens CC first on his natural. BBK goes for a fast expansion. However, the protoss player will follow up with a 4 gate agression. MMA will see it very late and has to hold with one bunker. The three other bunkers come, and he will finally hold. He will drop BK's natural, forcing the protoss to back. Macro game starting, MMA with a supply advantage. Engagement at the middle of the map at 17:00, takes down BBK. He throws the GG, and MMA advances to the RO16 !
Why do some people have such abrasive personalities? The mute button is always there for evryone to use, but there are people who will actually want to watch AND listen to the game and casters (such as myself, even if the casters talk about eating hats and old games) right?

yep, analyzing a game on a forum while you're eating cheetos in your underwear is very different from analyzing a game, broadcasting it in real time and making it exciting while keeping up with everything still happening on the screen, entertaining a crowd of people and interacting with a co-caster. and having a good voice/casting presence is more important than perfect game analysis anyway. but let people think they could do better if sniping from forums makes them feel good

a properly executed cannon is almost impossible to stop when low ground is so close to your nexus unless you're maphacking. The only really foolproof way is to put down a forge asap and stall until you have your own cannon up.
alternatively you 9 scout every game, but that puts you a bit behind in economy. its a tricky slope.

If you scout it in time on that map (with a standard gate inbase scout) you can just wall off the ramp with 3 pylons and chrono out some stalkers.

Tails went for an agression with stalkers. BBK answered with blink (he scouted). He will hold until Blink arrives... Counter-attacks with blink stalkers. Five minutes of micro around the choke before Tails throws the GG after a killing blow with stalkers.

Perhaps Foreigners are closing that gap and making lag actually matter now. And that's a good thing.
Tails for a Stargate, as well as BBK. Tails builds an Oracle and BBK goes for a Phoenix. BBK has everything to counter the Oracle, but he passes it without seeing it... Oracle will be able to go in BBK's main and kills 4 probes. Not a lot. BBK keeps building phoenixes and will attack with a zealot and a stalker. He will kill Tails' phoenixes as well as the MSCore. During the first 10 minutes, it was a sort of « phoenix war ». But BBK will finish him with zealot/stalker and his phoenixes, after Tails' one were destroyed (again). Tails GGs and BBK advances to the round of sixteen !

I hate to say it but Tails isn't really that good in BoX. His playstyle is perfectly suited for team leagues where his gambles and quirky builds catch everyone off guard, but in this format that just won't take him all the way. Sure, lag might play in, but I don't think this result had that much to do with any kinds of gaps closing.
