That's not even that bad. I'd say that this extended series is more advantageous for naniwa than a normal double elimination system would be Normal Double elim would mean playing 2 separate BO3s. In such a case, when Naniwa gets ahead 2 points, lets say he wins 2-1, that 1 win from Polt goes away as they start another BO3. Compare that to extended series, where that 1 win would remain. Extended series is worse in any possible situation.

If you go by what the original article said, "eSF" has always meant non-kespa koreans, it was about being on kespa training schemes etc, not about what team X player was on. exactly, esf simply means those who trains outside kespa, not players belongs to some federation. The fact that before kespa transition, esf and foreigner scene was already fused up. Who defined that, the president of eSF?

Naniwa start 0-2 :/ Such a stupid rule.. I think it might be because naniwa's coming from losers bracket and polt is in winners, not because of extended series... That's what extended series is. No that's just how a double elimination bracket works, the guy in the winners needs to have an advantage, but someone else cleared it up and it is indeed extended series lead into a bo7 instead of the standard needing to win two BO3's. He already has the advantage of Naniwa having played 4 games today already (and some more yesterday). Since meeting in the upper bracket Polt has played 1 bo3 and Naniwa has played 3 of them ... tell me that that is NOT an advantage, because stamina is an issue in these weekend tournaments. In any case Naniwa - if he should win - would be at a disadvantage over his next opponent because of these extra matches (due to the extended series) and that is NOT fair because they havent played yet.

IF either Polt or Hyun lose their semi finals match they are both instantly out, even though they havent dropped a single series yet ? Polt is up 2-0 on Naniwa. Its a Bo7. Naniwa has to win 4-1 to advance. Polt can go 2-3 and advance. If Sound wins, then Hyun and Sound have a Bo3. If Hyun wins, he goes to the final. If Sound wins, then the Bo3 they just played becomes a Bo7, with the winner of the Bo7 going to the final. If Hero wins, then it's a Bo7 with Hyun up 2-1. When it's explained like this, it seems so much more nonsensical. This is pretty simple, you get an advantage for not dropping a series on your way up to the semis: - if you met the guy before you get the score from your previous match (2:0 or 2:1 in your favor) - if you did not meet the guy before you can end it quickly by winning 2 out of first 3 maps. This makes a lot of sense for me. Make sense to me as well. The wining side must have some advantage.

Three kespa players participating, all making it to the round of 16. That they don't reach the finals is just a question of statistics. But 2 of 115(?) foreigners remaining is really bad. That leads me to the question what are foreigners doing wrong? Is it the genes or are they too lazy compared to Koreans? I mean even Koreans outside of Korea or on foreign teams dominate foreigners. i don't see the logic at all.
