Seems an obvious disqualification scenario. Who are they supposed to disqualify? Surely not Kane who there is no reason to believe had any say in this matter at all. If you want to treat the event as a team event, then there should be nothing wrong with one member of the team sacrificing for another, and if you don't view it as a team event, then surely one member of the team cannot be punished for the actions of another. Disqualify Catz if you want, but that won't do much good. If MLG had an issue with it surely they should just have told Catz when he informed them that he planned to forfeit, then he could choose whether he really wanted to forfeit and suffer the consequences or play out the games.

Are you ok with this? If not explain the difference. Imagine if this started happening in tournaments regularly. Any time there was a team kill they forfeit to the better player. This is a big deal. If its true. This would be more relevant in a case with a full LG-IM semifinal and the other finalist already determined.

In general I agree, but this is actually a little different since it was a walkover - purposefully throwing games is so much worse, especially for the audience.

If its true. I'm not going to comment on the situation at hand but your analogy is flawed. If Hirai (I think that's the coaches ID) of LG-IM was in the semi finals of a major tournament then forfeit to MVP then that's the same kind of situation. Nestea would never forfeit to MVP as both are professional players. Catz is both a player and a manager/owner. Its not the same

I see him more as an acting manager you could say, playing for moral support Coach Park is playing in this MLG right? So imagine if he'd got paired with an EG or TL player in his first game. Do you think he would have played vs them? No he's of forfeited his place. He's playing for fun and if he ever ran into an EG or TL player he would simple give them the bye I see Catz as being in the same situation
Of course he would have played. This also does not even attempt to evaluate the actual issue. Just "its fine because Catz sucks"? That is not a good reason.
When did i say Catz sucks? I said he's not seen as a pro player anymore. He doesn't play to win major tournements be plays for moral support for his team And its the exact same situation
Again no actual points here. Catz isnt a pro therefore its ok. That is NOT RELEVANT.
how am i being pathetic? I'm the one trying to explain why he might have made this decision unlike yourself who's only responce is GET THE PITCHFORKS, CATZ MUST BE BANNED FOR BEING A CHEATING SCUM

How does a forfeit affect the integrity of the whole tournament? His teammate gets a rest and plays one less Bo3. Catz eliminates players in the tourney then forfeits to advantage his team. It does have an impact and team kills should always be played out. If this became a regular thing the tourney would be a farce.

I think how we handled the NaNi incident was bad. You can't force someone to try. You say it "hurts the integrity of the tournament." How? What's the impact? What harm does it do to the tournament? There will not be sudden rash of people throwing games--there are a fairly unique set of circumstances where it's beneficial to both parties. Answer my questions above please. LG-IM all 4 semi finalists, forfeit to give MVP the win. Fine? Its not a unique set of circumstances. There is nothing unique about it. It is a principle. Either its acceptable or not. Black and white. You can't force someone to try. But you can disqualify them if you think they didn't try deliberately in order to influence the outcome.
