A wall at the ramp is a bit weaker to a 6 pool. You are also forced to make a zealot, which slows the expansion when they do not attack. It is also easier for an overlord to scout the chrono on the core. | ||

The wall is either not up in time (at least not with zealot to block), or it can be eaten by zerglings before the zerglings can be shoed away. Gateway next to nexus where you can best defend all your buildings and probes at once (with help from probes) is best defence against early pool. | ||
