MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |

I personally think they just need to nerf the initial dmg of hellbats, reduce cost of blue flame and make blue flame effect hellbats. They don't need to straight up nerf the hellbat, but rather delay these drops a bit until people can actually deal with them if they spot them.

I am sorry but I cannot help to feel that the Koreans here are really cutting down young talent and acting like a force preventing young talent to go pro. Imagine how big it would be for either of them to get a spot... I mean if for instance Tilea would enter it would bring a entire new nation into the SC2 scene which so far got 0 attention.
But no we are probably just going to get a sixteenth Code-b Korean instead.. sigh..
Good post really agree!

since when were invites given out in order to fill some ethnic quota? They didn't get any because their achievements haven't shown that they're more deserving of the invite. I can't believe people are actually thinking this is rooted in racism.

"It may be false" - Why don't they give the real information? There was not a single instance where it was false and even if: If there is false information, you correct it, don't hide it.

They asked Nony to play from replay. Nony said yes. Mario made some bad engagements (losing all his vikings) / lost a 4th he placed next to Nony's army. Nony steam rolls the hellbat/siege tank with no viking support.
Mario says gg and thanks for good sportsmanship

Why isn't a single chinese player invited? sen from TW is in the groups though i don't get why Blizzard didn't run a WCS league for SEA when you have TeSL/G-League running and you had the finals in China already. Let's be honest if blizzard didn't find a way to insert sen into wcs there'd be endless riots.

Even MLG knew they messed up by not including him in the bracket, hence why they fixed it. To DQ him now that hes 1 game away from qualifying is ridiculous. At this rate they should just wait and DQ him AFTER he qualifies... two wrongs don't make a right. he shouldn't have taken another players spot.

Even worse since he's literally a series away. I disagree with this standpoint. By this logic, any person discovered hacking at this juncture would be okay, because every thing's been compromised anyway. That makes no sense to me. Nah, that logic does not require that we equate hacking with a language barrier-related rule break. I don't think that allowing a player to play on someone else's sign up can be attributed to a language barrier. If that's okay, why don't the Koreans get 5 of their friends to sign up, so if they don't get their main account in, they can just use another one? I know this example is ridiculous, but do you see where I'm having trouble with it? Intuitively, it shouldn't be allowed. Intuitively it's fucking stupid that the WCS China champion doesn't have higher registration priority than bronze players. Of course, the system is shit, but we have to do something with what we have, and to me, that's DQing Comm (which should have been done a while ago, TBH).

There should be more Eskimos invited. RACISM

i am shocked, because i thought that Mario must be way ahead of they just flat resume from replay. gg nony, and great sportsmanship...although that isnt fair to him to put him in the place to make that decision. should be admins. that way no one could blame him. he was almost put into a no win situation.

Too bad that they probably have some sort of long term contractual agreement...
I think NASL would have been perfect, but I guess the discussions were helped along into MLG's favor by deals and incentives from MLG. Since MLG is a lot larger than NASL I'm sure they could make a much nicer offer, financially, for Blizzard to run the WCS. Also keep in mind that running this tournament is bound to bring a lot of viewers and cash to the organization which runs it, as long as Blizzard keeps supporting SC2 as an e-sport.

really questionable decisions by MLG, not sure who is in charge of that... i wont fucking watch their replay-casts later on if they keep fucking up like this, trying to censor wiki to make their later casts more "interesting"? oO
