MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |

Taeja is in exactly the same situation and yet isn't playing.
This tournament also counts for Challenger League Qualifier spots, which Taeja and Hyun are eligible for. Of course neither are eligible for Premier League spots.
Anyone care to shed any light either a) why HyuN isn't disqualfied or b) Team Liquid didn't make Taeja play. HyuN forfeited his Code A position. And so why didn't MC play in the EU qualifiers despite being in the same spot as HyuN? Maybe confusion and lack of information

Just read this: Players like HyuN, MC, and TaeJa* who are/were qualified for this season of Code S will be able to play the qualifiers for Season 1 of NA/EU, but will only be able to advance as far as the Challenger League. (ie. they will be able to secure qualification for the season 2 premier league of NA/EU, but won't be able to play in the season 1 premier league of NA/EU). [Players don't have to forfeit their Code S spots to do this.]
And now I do not understand why HyuN is playing too...

If Jaedong gets knocked out round 1 I will be very sad.

i think its more EU has a seperate new codeA/challenger league qualifier, wich is not tied to the premier one.
