MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |

MLG's invite system is terrible and they shouldn't count Polt or Demuslim as non-NA, they are NA residents.

Cumbersome? Hyun just wasted time in a tournament he didn't qualify for in the beginning, thinking he had a shot of winning. Not to mention all the other player he knocked out. Considering all that, I think it's worth the extra effort in the beginning to screen players. MLG really dropped the ball here. Wait, so MLG should be reprimanded for wasting HYUN's time? What about the poor blokes he had to play that were beaten by someone who was ineligible to play? I feel bad for those people; I have no sympathy for Hyun. That's your problem if you don't feel sympathy for a player. The fact still stands that the issue could have been avoided if MLG admins screened participants for basic qualifications such as previous WCS participation. And I do mention the "poor blokes" in my post so I'm not really sure what the point of your post is. Honestly, it's Quantic's fault for not knowing which qualifier to put their player into as well. They're supposed to take care of stuff like this.

If I knew that one player can't play in multiple regions on the day whole shebang was announced, then so should have HyuN. After all, it's his job. I quite honestly wouldn't mind if he was penalized to set an example.

Only one American still in WB? This is quite different than EU qualifiers with the numer of koreans.

Hopefully Miya doesn't let his nerves get to him today. No booth, so it should be such a crippling problem.

I may be wrong, but aren't there many more Koreans playing the NA qualifiers than the EU ones?

Look at place demu in lower bracket... seems pretty sweet... can take a long sleep, eat and win 3 matches, gg

Maybe you should try to understand that maybe their invite system was flawed (or this whole system, but that's another discussion I don't want to bring up ITT). Maybe you should also try to understand that Demuslim is from NA for all intents and purposes. He's been based in NA for a very long time now.

Yeah, like 5x the amount of koreans. And that's even if you include players like Daisy.

Based on skills alone, Idra, Fenix?
Sadly Blizzard didn't choose that criteria because there's really not a good way to describe it objectively... so they went for results, even if they're are as minor as winning WCS Peru.

Lol that's not reasonable conclusion. Can you assert that because I know that you're a dbag, its your responsibility to know that too? Obviously you're not one but knowing something doesn't preclude others from not.
We can all readily accept that the WCS transition has been chaos and many folks still have questions on the setup. This was a casualty of that situation, move on.
