Will TLO be playing the EAS as well?

As of right now, TLO hasn't played in A-Series, nor has he signed up for it. So at the moment he isn't playing in EPS.
|
the link to taketv.net doesn't work (it redirects to esl.tv as well). you might want to fix that.
I'm really looking forward to EPS and I'm interested in the outcome of the cups. I wonder if roughly the same players will be succesful when the game is changed from wol to hots.
|
really looking forward to this season! I hope a few new talents will show their skill. We need fresh blood in the german pro scene

when will the finals be? It says season ends on 12th May, so 11th and 12th?

This time Xlord won't be content with 2nd place .

I will inquire with league ops today. This season is a little differently scheduled to others because of CeBIT right in the middle AND HotS.. So will find out for you asap : )
|
YEAAHH! GOODY has signed in for the first cup!
|
|
Let's see if the guys still know how to play wol .
|
One or two technical issues on my side atm.. getting sorted out asap!
|
Gogo HasuObs!
|
I wish I had kaelaris hair ... so sexy :<
btw, Tarra just said on Take.TV that Goody might get a def-loss because his Client takes too long to patch WoL ;D
|
kaelaris having a really tough time today haha, no client, no sound, poor guy ^^
(btw pretty insane that he has to deal with everything on his own in the esl studio while taketv has a production team for every cast lol)
|
could you adjust the gamma? its very dark right now

Kaelaris' cast to Goody vs. Kaup is hilarious. "Scan, scan, scan...kaup, kaup. Hellions!"

is there only 1 match at the time or why do both streams show the same?

because BW storm is absolutely comparable to SC2 storm...

still those games were horrible. especially the cloud kingdom game by HasuObs. He could have won easily but jsut lost 10 bases because he ran after 4-5 roaches the whole time.

Only two qualifiers left. Hope Monchi makes it!

Monchi and GoOdy should replace Acro and Showtime in the top 8, then everything would be perfect IMHO.
|
Goody potentially facing off against Socke in the Quarterfinals in a situation where he could really use more points... <.< edit: HeroMarine casting the game instead of playing because he is too young to participate, lol.

GoOdy no

What the hell, the last qualifier is played today, why was there no notice on TL? :o I never bothered checking out Take's stream because I assumed they would do the usual restreams... Did I miss much?

Only Goody vs Tr0n has been streamed now; game 1 was pretty standard, game two, tr0n almost killed Goody, but Goody pulled of a very nice come-back. Now in game 1 of Goody vs monchi, monchi just lost about 10-15 probes to 1 mine.
Right now we have 6 guys (Fally, showtime, monchi, Goody, STW and CPU) all within 15 points, competing for the last playoff spot (or the last two, if smth. very weird happens, in this case Hanfy [not playing today] would be out). Xlord, Delphi, Hasu, Socke, Tarra and Acro are safe.

Yep, Fally is already in round 2 and has more points than both of them, so they need to get further then him to get top 8.

Xlord dominating EPS is really nice, feels like 5 years ago again .
|
On April 03 2013 04:57 JustPassingBy wrote: So, everything is settled now, right? I wonder who managed to get in.
i think the final ranking is:
1. XlorD 2. Tarrantius 3/4 Socke 3/4 HasuObs 5. Delphi 6. Monchi 7. Acro 8. Hanfy
i think Socke and Tarrantius are still playing for thrid place, but that shouldnt change much in the final ranking. if socke wins, then he will get third place overall, if he looses, socke and hasu are tied for third place in the regular season. no terra in the playoffs though, time for heromarine to become 16 ^^
|
So the quarter finals are tomorrow right? Looking at the bracket it should be Xlord, Hasu, Socke and Monchi in the top 4 again. Hanfy and Tarra might be able to pull it of too.

Yeah I love the EPS production, ESL's image would be so much better if they had done the WCS qualifiers similiar to this, such a difference to Kaelaris being all alone.
|
The studio seems to be really good, i'd love to see more from there!
The first match result was clear for everyone i think, as Acro didn't had a chance vs Xlord. The 3 Matches that will still come will be better i think, i really want to see Monchi vs Tarra.
|
XlorD 2:0 Acro; last map will be Whirlwind.
|
Setup and production are looking really good.

Really nice creep spread for zvp. Damn poor Acro, but XlorD just on another level.

Well, what have you seen out of Siw other than his qualifier run? I don't think Siw would have looked much better if Xlord played as well as he did in this series. I mean Acro got unlucky in the last game (he even scouted for the proxy spire with a hallucination in the bottom direction but missed it) and didn't really play bad in the first game so you can't just write im off as a bad player.

Xlord should have rightly lost to PandaTank before he met Siw anyway. I don't think he's as good as you think he is.

The next series should be closer. Hasu is leading 1-0, but it was an entertaning match with Swarm Hots contain. Game 2 on Daybreak.

Hasu against Zerg in the EPS see ya in 50 minutes.

Delphi was way ahead in economy and was pouncing on Hasu on various fronts killing his fourth and denying his fifth even killing the third but Hasu was able to reduce delphi's mining to one base with some Zealot harass and couple of good counter attacks and recalls while sneaking a base in the natural at the top right which Delphi scouted way too late which resulted in the army supply getting close and closer and finally delphi lost most of his swarmhosts and a lot of corrupters and did a final muta switch which was defended by hasu adding 2 more stargate in his new base established at the top right.

Delphi is the best player in the world at losing won games.

Oh, and the production was pretty good. But they should fix the mics (sometimes *screeeeeeech*) before WCS and the drama crowd comes along.

i think tarra could have defended it if he would have spent 1-2 addional chronos on the forge and with better micro and positioning. His immos were shooting zealots etc.

Ah, we definitely need more terran blood here in Germany, can't wait for HeroMarine to participate, and maybe KrasS will also decide to someday (though it has become less likely with him qualifying for the WCS).

This will be good. HasuObs vs Xlord did happen quite often, and its fairly even. I am sure we will see some nice lategame from Hasu, as usual. And Monchi vs Socke will be a pvp, were everything can happen...everything..

I quote the biggest SC2 Newspaper:
HasuObs Victorious After Opponent Dies Of Exhaustion During Nine Day Game The post-game autopsy revealed Bly's heart failed on day five of the marathon game, though HasuObs continued play for four more days until ESL was notified of Bly's passing. 'I thought I just needed a little more time to complete my composition, I'm sorry to hear of my opponent's passing," HasuObs told reporters in a press conference following the match.
Thorzain commented, "I think Hasuobs attacked a little too early and should have built on top of his lead."
He's a prophet, just exchange Bly with Xlord.

How is this still going on
|
I went to eat for like 20 mins
|
Hahahaha best concave of SC2 history
|
Locusts vs Tempests ... and they cant attack each other? Stupid game design revealed finally ... thank you Xlord and HasuObs!
Honestly they should really have focused much more on the "winning condition" of killing every enemy building.
|
Casting is great, 'fun' to watch :D
|
Nooo XlorD just wait man, please wait until you have full life on the corruptors again...
|
|
just a normal hasu game :D
|
I wonder what hasuobs and idra think of each other.

Not sure the production tab is the most useful thing here...

Idra left tons of games vs Hasu in the beta :D

The tournament organizers should VETO any map choice of these two and force them to play on Steppes of War next! Imagine what would happen if they were still mining on a larger map ...

Check the kill counts on the units

Hasu must play like 5 games a day.

Take the goddamn left base already, you have the minerals. -___-;;;

But really you know Blizzard fucked up the game design again, when a player asks for coffee in the chat during the game and the admin answers him where to find some.

Tell me what hasu couldve done... Thorzain turtles and slowly kills his opponent, hasu turtled because attacking would be suicide..

Only if he can actually get up from his computer and go and make some and he didnt lose in the meantime. Entirely possible with Swarm Hosts though ... which can keep an enemy busy without much need for interaction from the player because they are free and replaced every few seconds anyways.
XlorD should have gone for a small flock of Mutas right when Hasu had his ultimate "clump" and then destroyed the buildings in places where that army wasnt.

No Kaelaris, the game wont be an hour and a half ... this time it will only be 90 minutes.

What do Z players think about abduct ? It's supposed to break deathballs, but I feel it also allows Z players to be much more defensive and pick units one by one instead of engaging. Thoughts ?

We germans just like to complain about everything....and if there isnt something reasonable to complain about, we make stuff up.

Well lets see if Xlord can carry over his patience in the next game or if he tries something in the early game. To bad the Toss has to always move his main army and control it. Would be interesting to see speed prism with Immortals wizzing through the map as mineral dumps instead of Zealots that end up being better for the Zerg anyway.
But Zerg is getting scary, Terran needs Minerals, Toss needs Gas. Zerg can use both effectively. Wonder if Terran and Toss can find something like that which works well.

So we have New Kirk and Daybreak next, my body is ready.

Killed all tech and production except for one base with 200/200 and over 5k in the bank, followed by doing absolutely nothing for 40 minutes. It was embarrassingly poorly played, and even when he had 0 gas income and still banked 4k mins, he didn't even try to use zealots for half an hour, nor taking one of the bases with spare minerals.

I think it's a mixture of the swarmhost and the way Blizzard wants to play Protoss. There is no way for constant unittrades like we see in TvZ. PvZ is not as nearly dynamic...

1. but then your templars get pushed back by the locusts and you cant attack. Then the templars cant protect the air army from vipers. colossus gives you more mobility... i dunno how you can save your hts otherwise. 2. why would you tell anybody the secret how to play vs swarm host properly?

God, Kaelaris! Why, oh why, are you an english guy?
I really start loosing it, whenever he pronounces does as "duss", English is a second language for me, but these american dudes got me used to a does, that sounds like an american does. He probably pronounces the language right, but to me it sounds wrong.
At least ToD isn`T co-caster, so there are no missle-tourettes going down, to complete my headache.
Take's stream to instable to watch.

Socke with the sick PvP comeback, very bitter for monchi, he could've had Map 3, but he threw it away

Not only that but also far more harrassment than simply relying on the one big deathball to win. We have seen something like that in the matches between BabyKnight and Stephano I think, where the Swarm Hosts were totally ineffective because the Locusts were made useless by the Protoss running away and sending shock toops of Zealots to take down bases at the same time.
Then again Zerg havent learned to split up their Swarm Hosts to attack multiple locations at the same time yet. The locusts deal a pretty good amount of damage and a few should be enough to eventually tear down any building. "Using them" takes no attention at all, but defending against them does ... which kinda reminds me of "Banelings vs Marines", but that is another story.
