Good luck to the players. My predictions:

Liquipedia link is broken. You're looking for this link. Though it currently has the wrong name for Scarlett in there.
I have to predict Scarlett takes this, HuK 2nd place.
...Which would be incredibly awesome I might add.
|
Seeing Scarlett or HuK miss out on the final big WoL tourney would be just a little disappointing. I hope they take it.
|
What race does Massan play?
Edit: apparently a Zerg

Oh no, Huk's games will be cross server hope that doesn't screw him or Ostojiy over, want to see some good games.

so bm

Cool game, nice to see the no infestor style but Scarlett responded perfectly with heavy hydra.
At least she's not like, totally crushing him. It's a bit more enjoyable.

Interesting game by Huk. Looks like he wants to become a white MC.

Hes always played like that

So he did a 2 base all in? What else is new? Not sure if that's an accurate statement though, since I've seen MC macro in PvZ more than doing all ins off of two bases.
|
No, I mean he's changing his game into a point where he can turn seemingly any opening into something that just works. More 2011/12 MC than current MC.
|
Huk really doesn't seem to understand how to immortal all-in, should watch a parting replay or two.

lol that one stalker blinking out of there, he felt the ripple of the burrowed infestor and was like "nope, I'm out".
Weird games, Huk's failed immortal sentry attack almost got him killed but somehow he pulled it out!

Not this time.

omg... He will get destroyed in Code S

gotta love how they hype +1 for immotals when they kill roaches with 3 hit just like at 0 attack
also lol@the guy shouting how huk is in a terrible position when he is up on supply.

Yeah, Scarlett is just too good. Though Huk's execution has been really poor. He can win games, but not like this.
I don't think this bracket has ended up any different to how anyone would have expected.
|
And now Huk is dead. Sub 100 supply and Scarlett has BL tech
|
This game has been pretty uninspiring, aside from Scarlett's early ling micro to pick off 2 stalkers and 2 sentries.
|
Man, Huk has been floating so many resources during the big engagements, up to 1k/1k at some points. He might still be losing, but those extra units couldn't have hurt.

This is just my theory, but I think HuK really lucked out with his Up & Down group. He definitely beat some talented players who are strong on any day regardless of prep for games, which shows he's a strong player. But the games he won were against Center, who was teamless, and then Fantasy and Flying who are great, but seem more devoted to Proleague. The eSF players he did face he lost to. Now he's in a group with Sniper/Bomber/Gumiho all of whom will prepare a shit ton and are completely focused on GSL. That's a monstrously difficult group for a GSL regular, and even more so for HuK. I'm sure he's putting most of his effort on prepping for that group, but he'd better play with better mechanics than he is here or his strategy won't matter.
Of course he is facing Bomber and Gumiho, so who knows which version of them will show up.

Huk might be the luckiest player in the history of Code S lol. He always manages to get into the softest groups.
|
Huk threw that so hard. He really needs to step it up a lot in code S.

In most of HuK's Code S runs, he's been eliminated by a champion, GSL May 2011: Nestea GSL ST: Polt GSL July 2011: MC (not that seasons champion but still a 2-time champion and best toss in teh world at the time) GSL August 2011: MVP GSL November: Went down to Leenock+MMA, two of top 3 players in the world at that time Now: Has last seasons champion in his group, as well as a player who has been on fire lately
Explain how he is lucky again?

I definitely would not call a group with Sniper, Bomber, and Gumiho easy.

No code S group is ever gonna be easy, but I do think it's the best group he could hope for.
