I expect no protoss by the time there are 8 players left. Squirtle and Parting have much better chances than Creator did of making it to Ro16. Creator was up against two of the top 3 Z's atm (Life, Leenock and Symbol imo) in a Zerg favored metagame. Squirtle will probably lose to Hyun but should be able to get past Bboong and has a decent chance against Yoda while Parting should be able to beat LosirA and either Ryung or Byun. MC has transcended predictions (I think he doesn't really stand a chance, but thus far every time I've thought MC doesn't have a chance he's gone on to make it to the finals or something equally impressive) so I guess we'll just have to wait till tonight. I can't really see HuK making it past GuMiHo and Bomber though. Whenever it looks like MC should lose decisively, he decides it's time to start winning again.
At this point I almost feel that he does it deliberately to build hype.
Anyway...come on MC! Jangbi brought home the trophy for Aiur in the last BW OSL. You can do it for the last WoL GSL.

You can't spell Jang Min Chul without Jang. I'm gonna call that a good omen.

if Taeja fails to win this GSL then he is the best player to never win a WoL GSL

MKP has been more consistent and accomplished than Taeja. Taeja was really good this summer, but that's about it.

Define "Best". I'd really say that Taeja doesn't even come close..

SC2 rule of thumb: Curious makes it past the ro32.
I don't know why people are always surprised when he does it.

Well, if we are referring to 'peak', then Taeja is up there. But if consistency, then MKP and Leenock are definitely above.

Mah Boy MC!!! Sick 4-0. Surprised Leenock did not make it through, he is like the second best Zerg player out there.

Agreed Leenock >>>>> MKP > Taeja
How exactly is Leenock way ahead of MKP? I think they're pretty similar in terms of achievements, both in the GSL and at a foreign tournaments, with MKP doing a bit better in the former and Leenock doing better in the latter.

Leenock is not waaay above MKP imo. They are about even in overall accomplishments though I do agree that they are a tier above Taeja in accomplishments.

This group was easy.
Curious WILL get through. MC looks weak--so he will get through.

There seems to be quite the crossover between Leenock and MC fans. is it because they're both so... cuddly?

Were any of the games anywhere near as good as the very first set between Leenock and Baby?

Random players have to learn to cheese in nine different match-ups. That ain't easy!
