Leenock =(((

Really wanted him to make it further, but with such a stacked season some great players were bound to fall early. I guess this is counteracted by MC getting throug 4-0 though =]

Poor Leenock. But he was doomed to drop out, after he lost to MC, because it's absolutely impossible for Curious to not reach the Ro16.

Oh and <3 Curious btw. The guy gets way to little love. Hopefully he can get past his mental block this time and finally make the deep run he should have always made.

Well, don't expect any miracle, protoss fans. The 2 new maps were tailored for P (and anti-Z), and Creator is the best protoss among the 5 who made this season's RO32 in my mind. Yet Creator failed to make out of the group.. I expect no protoss by the time there are 8 players left.

Squirtle and Parting have much better chances than Creator did of making it to Ro16. Creator was up against two of the top 3 Z's atm (Life, Leenock and Symbol imo) in a Zerg favored metagame. Squirtle will probably lose to Hyun but should be able to get past Bboong and has a decent chance against Yoda while Parting should be able to beat LosirA and either Ryung or Byun. MC has transcended predictions (I think he doesn't really stand a chance, but thus far every time I've thought MC doesn't have a chance he's gone on to make it to the finals or something equally impressive) so I guess we'll just have to wait till tonight. I can't really see HuK making it past GuMiHo and Bomber though.

Whenever it looks like MC should lose decisively, he decides it's time to start winning again.

With these results, it really feels like Code S is more than ever about its own storylines and legends, no matter what people say about those old and glorious dinosaurs.

Almost every player in Code S has their own 2-3 year history and legacy at this point, I would say the only ones that could be considered " faceless " or haven't built up a reputation are Hack, bboong, Noblesse and most of the kespa players ( to sc2 people )

Totally agree (though I'd add BaBy hasn't got much of a Code S history), but Curious Crushing through Ro32 and any of the old beasts (MVP, MC, NesTea, Losira, MKP, GuMiho) advancing despite being said "on a slump", or "near retirement/coaching" really shows how Code S has its own ways. Also, the way it always remind players coming back to code S with a hype train after an (incredible) streak abroad that this is SPARTA goodol' GSL contributes to this feeling. So I guess Curious will continue to crush in Ro32-16, MC will trick opponents and surprise us, Leenock will still be the exiled king and newcomers will have a hard time making a name for themselves.

HuK participating and managing to get through u&d adds up to the nostalgy, I could nearly feel like were in early 2011

Curious playing like a boss in Ro32, ready for elimination in ro16 again?
MC is back in town as definite boss toss?
Will there by any KeSPA players left soon?
Leenock got curious'd in ro32 that's a rather soon exit for such a championship favorite.

and last and most important:
Go Bomber! Go Gumiho! Go YoDa! Go ByuN! Go KeeN! Go Mvp! Go MKP! Go Noblesse! Go Taeja!

Weird games. That MC vs Leenock game on Akilon. Leenock holds the Blink Stalker all in, decides to delay Infestors and tech to Banelings, to counter Blink Stalkers... :p Poor Leenock, what was he thinking?
