The thing is the top code S players also lose to mid code S - code A players or would you really consider the GSL Ro16 (now) the top code S players? The mid code S/code A players you say are beating the foreigners are players who live outside from korea or at least know the foreigners pretty well. For the most part europeans have a unfamiliar style for the koreans and that's why they are doing that well. At least part of it also has to be that this is probably the deepest foreigner field we've ever had in a tournament. The two-tier national/continental tournament system leading up to this tournament has really been great for bringing in a lot of previously overlooked players.

Sorry but just tuned in on the stream, so really made no difference for me to refresh it.
Isn't OGN streaming some of the games?

How can a $100.000 first place prize tournament have such limited production value.... because they put the money in the prize pool instead of the production They exported the production to a Chinese company iirc. The same company did the WCS Asia finals.
However, the OGN production looks really good so far.

This could very well be a situation where Stephano would maximize his overall tournament winning chances by losing this match, because it puts him against an opponent he is confident against in the brackets. Bad tourney design. http://www.sirlin.net/blog/2012/8/1/playing-to-win-in-badminton.html
Only if he has a higher chance to beat HerO and BabyKnight than just Rain. Which is unlikely - Rain's PvZ is definitely better than those two, but Starcraft is a pretty high-variance game.

how does stephano have more drones, more roaches, and more infestors than idra. this guy too good

Fixed. Production has been a nightmare What? There were like 30 series played so far. There were no lack of games. Yeah they played like 5 hours with little to no downtime and constant games... However there seems to be some sort of hardware problem causing some downtime atm.

I think we have known for a while now that when foreigners play their A game, they have a good shot at beating Koreans. However, outside of a couple players like Stephano and Nerchio, they just haven't been able to do it consistently. Foreigners playing their A games? From the upsets i have seen, it was more like Koreans botching their games more than foreigners winning. Rain got out micro'd pretty hard in that second game. First game was him botching it but the second he just got out micro'd. Rain never got out-microed. He overextended after he pushed back Babyknight initial push. Ended losing one immortal. Cost him the game. Either way he got out micro'd or made a stupid choice which lost him the game... he lost either way. Your point being? babyknight played better?
Yes he did. But not sure why he wrote that comment when the previous poster was just explaining the issue wasn't being out micro. It was just bad decision making.

I had sudden lag spikes as well.

I've seen probably 8 frames of the Idra/Stephano match in the last 5 minutes. Horrible production.
Colours are also unbelievably washed out.

However he didn't come close to threatening Killer, and died to the floating cloud of death.
I'm amazed that Huk of all people is taking a third, let alone a fourth. Any Protoss that goes to 3 base is just asking to lose.

woah what the shit 0.O
Roro is out already, and ...Idra 2-0'd him..wut?
Babyknight 2-0'd Rain? The hell

I will be very surprised if Idra can beat Stephano. Stephano is the superior tactical/positional player and he has the better infestor control.
