The two main streams should be free in 480p, no rewind functionality. Pass gets you 720p/1080p and two extra streams, rewind option + maybe first person view, not sure if they still do that.

Sooooo pumped for this. MLGs are always my favorite tournaments to watch. The atmosphere there is the best. Not to mention these groups are pretty sick. My picks:
Brain: Leenock Heart: Flash Cock: vIOLet

Streams are already running some tests and showing some (past?) Oz v Soo game with music.

As the person above quoted Flash vs Grubby will be the opening game of the day, and the viewer count will go into overload just because of the 2 names

a rain vs life final is possible i guess ?

Meh.
Brain: Life Heart: Scarlett Cock: IdrA (as always)

What does the rewind option mean exactly, how far can you rewind? Can I come in 2h late and go back and watch games from the very beginning? Even use it instead of VODs to watch the next day?
Noob Q #2: are the free stream and HD streams entirely separated, i.e. will the HD stream be unaffected if the free stream dies due to overload?
Unsure if I need to get a HD pass, being a cheapskate as my bank account is nearly empty

So excited to see Rain pull a Losira and win the whole thing coming out of the open bracket.
|
I want Losira to pull a Leenock and beat rain 4-3 in the finals.
|
The rewind makes you able to rewind the stream to any point during the broadcast from the current day, it used to be a free feature up until Summer Championship but It's part of the pass now. You might be able to rewind to previous days but I can't remember if that's true or not.
I don't think the streams are separated.

TL says it's live, MLG says it will be on 5:00 CST (4 hour from now?). Is it right?

Hahahaha, well said, my heart says the same.
On a different note: I know I won't be able to watch much/any of this tournament just because I've got other plans(something more to do with your third point). I have no problem buying a pass then watching games at my leisure during next week. Does buying the pass give you access to replays for a week or two so I can do that?
I really want to see a lot of these games, and I don't mind if I have to watch them late.
Cheers,
Ramone

The first match on Friday is Grubby vs Flash. How do you know that? Is there a more detailed schedule somewhere? Btw does anyone know from past events how fast they put up VODs? Would suck balls for all in non-US tz if it took them the better part of a week like with the Kespa vs MLG tournament. Buy a pass for MLG it is worth it. You have DVR functionality throughout the event and vods are up within a couple hours. It is faster than the GSL.
Btw TLPRO put up their guide to watching Liquid at Dallas if anyone wants to check it out. TL Pro
SuperNovember is here, and there's no slow increase in the intensity; we're just going right into the action. MLG Dallas begins in just a few short hours. TaeJa, HerO, Sheth, and Ret are on location, ready to get going. We hope you all are too.
Let's go.
I am really surprised that EG is sending Stephano to ESWC though. With them being a US based team and him being their biggest star and all I would think him at MLG would be the best choice. I don't know how teams and players come to an agreement on which tournaments to attend though. I imagine he will have a much better shot of placing the money at ESWC though.

Stephano has always liked easy money, and without even looking at the ESWC player pool I can say with confidence that its probably weaker than the MLG player poll.
