Well, yes, it's difficult, but seeding or qualifying into code S doesn't matter, because we count from that point on. Life is a royal roader because he won the code S at his first attempt in code S. He has failed to qualify for code S before, but that is (generally considered) irrelevant.

Too bad, was rooting for Flash. He showed a great game against Seed, and excellent decision making to stay ahead versus Sirius, but he seemed weak against drops in both TvTs. I'm sure he'll improve on those weaknesses though!

The Flash vs Ryung game was fun to watch and I feel that Ryung deserved his code S spot. I hope Flash continues to improve and makes it into code S next season.

- can't be based on his results earnestly
- is already in Code A
I mean, I'm sure Gom are as annoyed as everyone else that Flash didn't make it for the reasons you've said. But it sort of just goes against all their 'rules' about rewarding currently successful players who aren't in the league already.

Yes, you are right Polt wasn't in the GSL at all because in Season 1, HE DROPPED IN CODE A to drop to CODE B.
And then he was suddenly seeded as Code S because of his results.

Have you watched his games? The man is a beast and it takes near perfect games just to take him out (or apparently TvTs..). He's had decent results in MvP Proleague and produced amazing playoffs series against the top kespa zergs (I would say Top 5 is Soulkey, Soo, Effort, Roro and Jaedong in no particular order), had a 3-0 sweep in his OSL group to barely lose to Last 3-2 (hate ****ing last), and barely missed the Code A cut by losing to an EPIC TvT vs Ryung.
There's absolutely no rule that suggests a Code A player cannot be a Seeded player into the Code S and I'm wiling to bet that if Flash gets a decent result in this MLG (or if he flat out wins it), he'll be a lock for the seed.
The fans, foreigners and koreans alike, want this man to be in Code S. It's good from a business point of view, good for the casters who want to cast his games, and the fans who want to watch the man play.
I'm sure GSL will make the right decision.
