I just don't think it would happen, however much sense it makes. Still think its sad that Puma never got a seed when he was on form, obviously now he doesn't deserve it based on current skill, but last year he really should have been at least in Code A.

He's wrong about this stuff about 50% of the time though.. for example he just claimed Trap was out if he loses his next game which I do not think is the case. It's understandable though, kind of hard to do this calculation on live TV!

Im correct about 95% of the time. And if trap loses now he IS out. Sometimes I miss a weird tie bracker but thats it

can someone check the math on the 95% claim?

I have it confirmed. khaldor is correct 95.3342% of the time

PuMa kinda missed his timing because there were better options at the time. A player who was playing as well as PuMa in foreign tournaments yet not in Code A at current time would definitely be a great seed candidate RIGHT NOW, but it just wasn't the case in the past. Nestea's not a great option, but given the current situation, he's one of the better ones.

Anyway, seeing as KeSPA players have entered the system in the proper way, it seems unlikely that GomTV will be giving away two KeSPA seeds in season five as well.

At the same time, they've almost completely run out of useful foreigners to give Code S seeds to. Foreign seeds don't always HAVE to be coming off a good tournament performance, but right now their options are pretty much Stephano (if he accepts and stays in KR), SaSe, or re-invite a prior seed like NaNiwa. Besides Stephano, none of those options are really first or even second choice for GomTV.

That's why Nestea fits in so nicely. Nestea is an icon of Code S, a player who has a fucking award named after him, and is a huge fan favorite. For the three time champ who has been in more Code S seasons than anyone, there would be little to no backlash about seeding him right back into Code S. 90% of viewers would agree that he deserves more it compared to a non-stephano foreigner or yet another KeSPA pick.

he's just gonna fall out again right away ;o

if you MUST seed a non kespa korean put YONGHWA in there

0-3 is 100% out, best you could do is 2-3 which is never gonna be enough to advance in a top2 advance format lol

also give khaldor more credit, I've never actually seen his calculations be wrong (sometimes hard to follow, never wrong)

No, it's not.

2-3, 2-3, 2-3, 2-3, 2-3 and 5-0. Tie for second.

Of course, this can't happen in THIS case, but still.

Thanks for the correction, this teaches me I should not try to work out who can advance based on 10 seconds of thought on an empty stomach! I should give Khaldor more credit.

What do you think of code s seeds given to people performing well in GSTL? YongHwa and First springs to mind, for example.

They could just skip the seeds this time around, though I agree with above the YongHwa would be good based on his GSTL games, and also First cause he's a boss.
