Kind of spoilers (Nony vs Major) below.
 + Show Spoiler +
If I recall, due to a ton of drama most of the people that view this thread actually do know the result of Nony vs Major already so that might have something to do with that one. (It's even in a big statement on the liquidpro page for example.)

Hm, how exactly have the brackets been created or the participating players determined?edit: just asking because I miss several notable NA players above the level of Nony.

I still think it was a bit of a travesty that Ostojiy received so little votes. TT1 too, but Ostojiy placed second in Canada!

Hmm. So we're gonna end up with 5 players on team world? Was sure it was going to be 7 or 8 for reserves :c

Top 5 GSL rank plus a couple other players or top 7 gsl or something.

Top 5 GSL rank plus a couple other players or top 7 gsl or something. Top 7 GSL is DRG, Mvp, Life, Seed, MC, Squirtle and TaeJa. That would be a total stomp, Stephano can take out some of these on a good day but the other foreigners? Also, assuming TaeJa or Life(both will attend IPL 5) will make top 4 GSL, which isn't very implausible they would play in three tournaments on one weekend. I am curious how this will work out.

the NA scene is purely a popularity/pissing contest much alike U.S. politics where actual merits and credentials doesn't matter at all.

Yeah so as a media company why wouldn't they show the 1 game they actually got?

Nony missed the first match, after complaining in his Fanclub he got it resheduled, at the rescheduled match Nony left after losing the first match, later claming that he thought 'single elimination' meant best of 1. After the dust settled Team Liquid penalised Nony by saying he couldn't compete for 2 months.

No, apparently it was a misunderstanding between GOM and IPL. Its 5 including Nani and Stephano.
So they changed it to 2 through EU qualifier and 1 NA.

what! really? That is stupid. Also, in that case, why is there a bronze match for EU but not NA?

Surprised that Sheth lost, and I'm glad that Tyler's taking a little break to gather himself. Maybe that'll be the push in the right direction, the stress-reducer that he needs to collect himself and find his focus. Best of luck to Tyler during his two month hiatus

Yeah as we've already been discussing for the last couple of days. However the top 5 from this play-off all win trips to IPL5.
